Anybody tried attaching a Molle Pod Pouch to a Regular Belt? Does it sit right?

Has anybody tired attaching a Molle Pod Pouch to a Regular Belt? Does it work?

Basically, I am deciding whether to buy a BT 2+3 Molle pod pouch and attach it to a belt, or just buy the Valken 2 pod that comes with a nylon belt (the back is just a regular loop rather than molle straps).

NOTE: I DO NOT LIKE THE EXPENSIVE HARNESSES THAT WRAP AROUND YOUR ENTIRE STOMACH. I HAD A $75 DYE ASSAULT AND DON'T LIKE TO FEEL A 7 INCH WIDE BELT AROUND MY WAIST. I also DON'T like to wear a vest.

yes and no.
yes, it will hold.
No, as it will bounce around a lot and hang very low, the pods going past the buttock and extending towards your thigh.

Maybe a bit of a compromise is needed.

I myself don't care for vests at all (just too much, well, stuff).

Look for something called a Battle Belt. Just a big wide strip of padded Molle webbing that a belt passes through.

They also sell things like this:

Not sure if that's what you're going for but it's probably cheaper than buying the molle pouch and a belt for it.

Thanks!

Thank you everybody for your ideas. I will keep them all in mind, but for now I bought a V-Tac 2 Pod Ejector Web Belt setup. It's marketed as a beginner harness, but at least it won't suffocate my torso!

Hey all,
Thanks for your replies. I wanted to stay away from a thick molle belt but i found some cool stuff. Blackhawk makes a 12" molle belt panel perfect to attach the BT 2 pod i just bought. I also found great products by Downrangegear for attaching individual items to a belt!!

Why don't you get a molle belt which is better suited for mounting molle accessories?
