Inception Designs "Stella" Barrel now available in A5 & Luxe/Ion/Impulse/Gog threads

2/27/14 PBE Update:

Pretty cool and I think the tinkerers and guys that are trying to squeeze out every accuracy advantage will really like it.

Can't help but feel like I forgot something but so far...

Stella Barrel System

Full 14" barrel system with tip extensions currently up to 18"

8" Back control bores for consistency and efficiency
0.675", 0.680", 0.685", 0.690" 0.695" and INSERT ready

3 Front sections with smaller control bores for efficiency and to make the barrel as quiet and accurate as possible
0.697", 0.689", 0.683"

Carbon Fiber fronts developed in conjunction with and available from Deadlywind(tm) the greatest manufacturer of carbon fiber barrel components

16" and 18" long 0.700" bore extensions available in different styles for those that like a longer barrel

Extensive small porting to maintain efficiency but make the quietest barrel possible.

Interchangeable tips for style, barrel length and functionality (Apex tip)

Open sourced tip files to allow compatibility with other manufacturers.

Quick "standard" Autococker(tm) threads for speed of installation and removal (open sourced standard and adopted by others in the industry)

Easy removal flats for grip and through holes on back sections specifically designed for use with Pump Guns and Autocockers

Easy entry chamfer and radius lead into the control bores to minimize paint breakage.

O-ring sealed at all interfaces

Machine engraved sizes won't wear off

Fronts designed to perfectly fit the Apache Go Pro Camera mount.

Available in matte black and raw for special custom builds. (Special Editions of colour and finish will be available also)

Rigid tube packaging with colour coding for ease of packing in your gearbag and selection at the field.

Available a la carte (buy what you need and not what you don't)

Dang!

This might replace my Deadly wind. With that many options its crazy. Especially as a pumper who is all about bore fit.

Simon is knocking it out the park! That man has been busy!

Keep it up mate!

P.S.

Please make some more Pico shells. My buddy couldn't snag a set for me at Cup!

P.S.S

Please keep making Kryptonite Autocockee bodies. I need another project.

Simon just won World Cup.

These look awesome. Thinking price should be pretty good as well.

I was thinking someone needed to make a barrel designed specifically to work with the go-pro. I guess I wasn't the only one. Really clean looking barrel, and those backs are really long. Great work as always.

As far as I know Simon makes everything in his shop in NJ. He says he loves making things in the USA which is interesting to hear with a British accent.

7pb may have to hit you up for these.

Considering he lives there and makes stuff himself it'd be hard to make it elsewhere?

There are "huge" gaps among bore sizes but I liked the back piece-front piece-tip concept. Would the tip thread compatible with "RAP4" tips?

The bore sizes are exactly the same as what comes in the Resurrection kit, and the Super Freak kit. Stepping by .002 or .003 is kind of silly. I'm hoping the fronts are compatibly threaded with the Resurrection kit.

There's some situations where you want to limit how much the ball bounces around in the front. As much as I'm not a fan of them personally, First Strikes are something that come immediately to mind for wanting a tight front section to the barrel.

  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
