Hey Simon, those AXE bodies look outstanding!

On another note, do you have anything planned for the Automag community?

Curious how much lighter these bodies are?

My only compliant about the Axe is the darn weight of it.

Any updates on the progress and will the people across the pond have the opportunity to pick one up?

They make Mini's for those that fine the axe heavy. Besides we're talking about reduction weight in grams, not pounds.

I don't think anything under 5 pounds is at heavy to carry. When you look at a fully loaded pod pack, I think that's heavier than a marker.

I really don't get why people think the Axe is heavy. My first gun was a sypder victor and then a sypder electra. I've held other guns such as ego 11, proto rail and g4. Those guns aren't really noticeably lighter to me. The only one I would classify as significantly lighter would be the g4 but I don't like how I can't wrap my hand around the front reg without scraping my thumb knuckle up. It should be noted that I'm not a super strong individual by any means, I'm 135 pounds-ish and average strength.

Now that I have been using the axe for a few months I'm pretty damn excited on this.

Seriously?

Five pounds huh? You are full of ****.

Carrying a pod pack on your waist is different then carrying a gun in your hand. *Mind Blown*... I know...

No, I haven't but I've never felt the need too. I really don't have a problem with the weight of the axe so I am not looking for the lightest gun out there.

Not to mention stainless barrel (one piece stainless BTW), heavy bottles, slab bodies cockers, drops, etc.

I realize that technology has advanced since then but seeing people complain about modern gun weights is just embarrassing

That's relative to your competitive level. Anyone putting winning above all else will be interested in every advantage possible, big or small. If a couple ounces mean you snap a little bit faster or you can go an extra point with good form etc the weight savings add up when you look at a few ounces from each component of the system. Its certainly not world ending but weight is weight. Less of it is better for speed and stamina.

Now, if you play casually like myself the difference is next to irrelevant. Just depends on you perspective and goals.

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
