short of the new anno, all of this sounds like a possible upgrade kit for existing crossovers...?

-New end cap (access flex valve)
-on/off asa (looks like an attachment to existing?)
-new vertical grip
-new tool-less battery door

I agree with the terrible trigger for walking, but I have loved mine for scenario play.

also, wonder if the barrel kit and barrel itself is AC threaded, or is the adapter only for other barrels?

It is a small adapter, sort of on the lines of a lapco I believe. I shot it this past weekend

Trigger worked fine after we set it up. If my old fat fingers can easily walk it, anyone can.

And they are lighter also

I run the updated trigger in mine with no spring. I like it.

I am hoping I will be able to purchase the on/off asa separately for my crossover.

I do believe that it is an adapter.

If anyone is from Michigan, and are going to the Tippmann big game, we should have the 2 we have there, to try out, and look at them.

Like it. If I was in the market, I'd give it a look-see. Price point might be a bit high, but things cost money.

Only thing that I can see that I'd change is the milling. I'd rather see a realatively plain tube than that goofy set of cuts on the top of the marker. It ruins the otherwise clean lines of the gun, and to me at least, has the look of something that was an after thought.

After being a Crossover owner and going to a DM, I am happy to see some of these quality of life changes.

To be honest the Crossover is a great weekend baller, non competitive player (ie tourney). It was a amazing cross between a entry level and higher end marker but was really missing those key feat rues they nailed now. Also I like how they say they listened, and to see the increase in features.

How would that be better since no one but DLX uses that thread any more since SP went bust?
Why dont we use Angel threads instead? Not the OLD angel threads, and not the NEW angel threads on the A1.. but the threads on the G7 that were a combo of both!!

And GOG.

SmartParts threads are functionally superior, autococker threads just happened to become the standard.

I mean really 4 and a half turns to get your barrel on or a metric ****ton of them?

This. It takes 1 1/2 turns to get the barrel off of my NXT. Also, the barrel hood can be designed much smaller with SP threads.

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
If you have questions, please post them in the Talk to Mods/Admins forum.
