I have not owned a DAM. Played with a DAM for a few hours though. The internals are similar to a reflex, closer to a reflex than a DM. No lpr, but you almost don't notice it due to the extra gun weight. If it came off like I was trashing them, I didn't mean it.
The DAM does have a LPR...it just isn't where it is on the DM. On the DAM, they moved the LPR from the forgrip area...where the Mag well now is...to behind the bolt. The lpr screws into the back of the bolt and the whole assembly gets removed through the back of the marker.
Here is an image of the bolt, engine (silver) and regulator (black) as well as the illustration of how they all go together.
It's not so much like you were trashing them, but the DAM is a DM with a mag and rails. People keep saying it's not but I have yet to meet one of those people who have actually inspected the internals of the gun to see what is actually there.
I will admit I'm surprised to see someone who owned a WS-66...most people have no clue what they are.
