Non-Milsim Mag Fed.

So my personal ideal mag fed paintball gun doesn't exist yet. At least not out of the box. Basically, a good old fashioned standard paintball gun, that happens to take a moderate sized reliable magazine. No AR style stock with a tank hidden in it, those get in the way of your mask, just give me a basic bottom line, preferably one with standard mounting screws and a hose so I can use what ever ASA and related accessories I prefer. No big foregrip with quad rails, just a single rail along to the top of the gun. No complicated twist change barrel, but a standard common threaded barrel (cocker, spyder, A5, etc) so I can easily find the exact bore and style I want.

So not milsim, but more sport-sim if you will (to coin a term).

Anyone else patiently waiting for this to become reality? A stripped down DAM comes close, but any gun that costs more than my mortgage payment is pretty much irrelevant.

This.

There's no reason something like this couldn't be made in a way that would allow it to be customisable into a more milsim look for those that would want it.

The DAM runs 10+10 mags which while a good compromise are a little too much of a compromise for a marker that expensive.

Ah yes, so far the only gun that fits my criteria. Just need them to strip down and refine the MR5 (without the "M" aspect, I guess it would be an R5?) so I can get a semi version.

my light weight magfed setup, its a TACAMO MKPII, this one has standard 20 round rap4 mags but I've since moved on to the much lighter RAP4 Dmags.

Other than being 98 threaded an mkv would fit your bill. Bottom line, top rail no stock or shroud needed. Use rap4 mags or dmags

98 thread isn't a big deal. While not currently a common thread in my barrel collection it's not something that's hard to find.

Though I thought only the MKV conversion for the Phenom was Dmag compatible or convertible?

...wait, never mind, found the right mag well...
http://www.rap4.com/store/paintball/...-magazine-well

that on this...
http://www.rap4.com/store/paintball/...intball-marker

and you got a Dmag compatible gun for around $210. Not bad. Not bad at all. Give it a better barrel, better ASA, give it a little color just to give it some personality, and that would be one hell of a fun gun.

You just have to build one from the ground up! Sounds like a fun project.
I feel a project thread coming on...

Perhaps the AGD Longbow is close to something that you are interested in? Doesn't meet every requirement you listed, but most of them.

You tell me!
