Well it looks like this will have the Flapper thing-y if reports are to be believed.

They wouldnt waste a bunch of time and money designing the outside shell of the loader, manufacture prototypes, and then test it, only to completely change the way it looks later..
For the most part the appearance is the last thing to change, if it changes at all.
I'm guessing the molds cost somewhere in the area of $40K. So if the manufacturer had some molds or bodies and wanted to test a new motor then this might change. If they made the molds and then I thnk this guy is right.
But just an opinion

NXE tried the Jrny loader with auger feed.
When I saw the Jrny I thought it was genius, but apparently they never got it to work correctly. Too much force and too big a gap between balls - just what I heard/read. Narrow on the bottom was good for visibility, but if it doesn't work then whatever it's benefits, they don't matter.

the fact that so many people are writing this loader off when it is still in prototype form is ridiculous.

and all the rotor fan boys need to stop acting like your hopper is so high and mighty. just because it says dye on it doesnt mean its the best. if these statistics given are true, the new pinokio will definitely outperform the rotor...

I am not sure what the screw holes are all for, because it was tool less to disassemble for cleaning / battery replacement, I watched him do it first hand.

This will be a great hopper, but I do not see the need really to put down your perfectly good rotors / spires, unless you absolutely need something extremely light and don't mind spending more money to pick one up.

I promise you if it looks like the pics nobody is replacing their Rotor with it. When will companies realize, looks matter in paintball. People may not agree with it but its 100% true.

If I made two equal loaders and put one in an ugly turd package @ $125 and the sleek pretty one @ $175 Id sell the $175 ones all day long.

Front player version holds 180, back player one holds 240, one with all the blue tooth and cameras has a interchangeable nose cone for 180 or 240. You can balance it on its feed neck when its full and always feeds all the paint so you won't have 2-3 balls randomly kicking around. Will retail about 150 unless you get the one with all the cameras.

Bluetooth and cameras... Interesting. Looking forward to some more info on this.

why would anyone want those things when we can barely get a loader to feed consistently and not jam

I totally agree with Lurker. Get the loader priorities straight. Feed reliably at a fast rate and still be gentle handling those brittle balls. Make the shells strong and lite and also improved battery performance. More substance and less hype. Make it better than what is currently available or make it cost less than to what we currently have available.

I agree with msonic. Better, faster, more reliable, more durable and cheaper. Who does not want that?

I guess I'm lucky then. I have 3 rotors
now and only times I had problems was
because I'm really cheap and only buy
quality paint if I can't avoid it at all lol..

once I had something inside one of
them, like a leaf or something, can't
remember, and the thing was still kinda
feeding. don't know what's the big deal
other than price. and just what I spent
on batteries on my old Vlocity and Vmax
would've paid for a rotor easily lol..

Although it's slightly
off topic I agree, I
have been using a
rotor for about 2-3
years now and have
never had a single
jam. Considering how
long ago it came out,
it's aged remarkably
well.

About reliability, jams, and how it is on paint. Its a soft paddle design that won't break paint. I triggered the feed system while holding in all the paint trying to make it break some inside, nothing it was fine. The way its set up it is pretty smart. The prototypes shell was really loud thought hopefully they have something to obsorbe the sound better on the final product. It runs on 2 9volts which is fine, nothing special. The speed feed was a drag though. Kinda tall and oddly flat, wish it was bigger too. I dunno how it was on batteries though, but even if u forget about them it turns into an old shake and shoot because of how the paddles are set up

It always seems these things come down to looks...I've read a lot of that in here lately...while I wouldn't want a knarled turd sitting on top of my gun, I do favor function over a lot of other criteria...the pinokio for me was pretty damn solid...it was just VERY tall and I disliked the shell plastic (never broke on me, but I was always skeptical that it would hold up as well as it was toughted). It seems they've addressed both of these flaws very well...
Just a reminder to all of those that compare this loaders "beauty" to that of the spire...I seem to remember a lot of comparisons of the spire to a boat...wait until this thing is out, and you've seen and played with it before writing it off...I understand we're all entitled to an opinion...just don't knock it right off the bat is all...it seems to have a LOT of potential.
