New Penalty Boxes/Start stations for the Pro fields

What do you guys think?

Will these help players get out alive since the opposing team can no longer shoot the net?

Will these provide bounces to hit live players in the back?

Will these prevent players in the box from knowing enough about the field to get out to spot alive?

Was there a Serta sale I did not know about?

I like the idea but poor execution. Leave those on the 10man fields.

I lke they have two options for exit. Gives them a little more chance to get out. I bet it wont bounce bad enough to get kills.

Not a fan at all. If we are pushing for paintball to look more polished and professional, this is not the direction we want to go.

These look silly to me. I can't even imagine what an outsider thinks.

so you now have to come out of the box blind and hope both A) you went to the side that needs you most and B) there isnt a gun waiting for you?

Wouldn't the player be out of bounds coming out of the box? Can he run all the way to the corner that far back? If not, how long do you have to come back inbounds?

#Lrn2rulebook
4.3.6.10.4.1. When their penalty time has elapsed. A player whose penalty time elapses during a point and who enters the in-bounds area within 3 seconds of the end of the penalty and prior to the end of the point becomes an active player.

Interested to see how this will work out. I think it is better than coming out of the front of the old penalty box that the opposing team can just train a gun on. I am curious to see if it flops early, will they remove it for the rest of the tourney.

This is a really good question.

While I think that we want something more official looking than a netting box, I agree that this probably isn't the best looking option they had.

I also think it could give you a few step running start out to one side. but who knows if you'll be coming out the correct side.

I am not so much concerned with the way it looks, but I think there needs to a slot on the top of the front piece facing the field. This allows the player to look out at the field and make a decision on where he wants to go. I would think the purpose of this is to allow players in the box a chance to actually make it out alive.

I really like the idea, but the quality of the product looks really poor. Make it better quality and I think it will be fine.

da box

makes the idea of getting a penalty a little more daunting since you have to launch yourself into the fray not knowing what's out there. This also keeps penalized players from coaching from the deadbox.

could be used as a tactic as when time expires the opposing team can lane one exit to force the player out the other into someone's waiting gun.
