Ask Jamie about the Vanquish!

Hey PB Nation!

If you have any GENERAL questions about the Vanquish, tech related or otherwise put them in here. I want to help support our new flagship marker and I am happy to
answer the questions you have. If you have a specific problem with 1 particular Vanquish please feel free to make your own thread. This thread is meant for more general questions that may not be in the FAQ.

Vanquish Ultimate Sticky and FAQ

There are no dumb questions ... so ask away!

PS: Just to stop this question before it comes up, If you want to know when you can get a Vanquish the best solution is to ask your local pro shop where you plan to purchase the marker. They will have the most up to date info on when the Vanquish's are shipping.

Is the asa/reg user serviceable? If so, can you post a video on how to do it?

How long should the tip last since its carbon fiber. Usually the insides of carbon fiber barrels get ruined pretty quickly

Yes it is. There will be a sticky posted in the coming weeks. Would most people prefer a video or step by step with pics?

This is misinformation. The vanquish has not had any issues with shredding orings. I assume you mean that the bolt tips didn't last as long as an Axe at first. Yes we fixed that issue. That is a symptom of the first prototypes and it is why we do such extensive field tests

From our experience it is very durable. We haven't had to replace any yet.

Check out the ultimate sticky above for efficiency videos. My gun gets between 8-9 and a hopper. I use a 70/4500

How is it shooting ultra evil? I need to get a gun that will shoot it and not destroy the paint. Also is there any different settings or dwells/ pressures to shoot ultraevil?

The bolt cycles forward very slowly so it is ultra gentle on paint. Out of the box you will not have to adjust the marker for fragile paint

I want to try to get an unbiased comparison between the Luxe 2.0 and Vanquish. I already sold my Luxe to get a Vanquish so it doesn't really matter, but what's better and worse on the Vanquish than the luxe?

OK, I will try to be completely unbiased here.

Vanquish positives over Luxe; One tool for every piece on the gun, 4C eye upgradable, wired eyes (I don't really like the ribbon),complete barrel kit with all inserts, carbon fiber tip (some with see this as a upgrade), rubber tipped bolt, better efficiency, hinged body for easy access, Quick Exhaust port, 9 volt battery (some may view this as a down grade to the rechargeable system but paintballers forget to charge their gun and it is nice to just throw in a new battery if needed), rubber grips give a stable feel in the hands (some may think they are ugly) and customizable OLED screen (Some may not see as a upgrade if they prefer talking board).

Luxe over Vanquish, Tons of color options, clean looking lines (some may prefer the feel of the rubber fore grip) very nice case (some may like the Vanquish display case with neoprene case), rechargeable battery system (some may prefer 9 volt if they are forgetful) and talking board (some will prefer a OLED screen).

I may have missed a couple things for each side so if anyone would like the chime in that would be great.

There is a small hole right in front of the trigger, use your tool to push the button in that hole.

Thanks Boss for your response! He gave you pretty much all the facts already. Ross the Boss has been one of field testers from the start of the project and is very familiar with the Vanquish. Check the Vanquish Ultimate Sticky for more info on your question.

I was screwing my tank on this weekend to use it for the first time. Asa was in the off position but when i screwed tank closer to asa air would leak out like the pin was hitting tank to soon. went away as soon as i put asa in on position. how can i back the pin out to keep that from happening.

Flip the lever to the off position, put your finger in the back of the ASA and see if the pin sits flush or below when you push it in. If it does it is you tank pin sticking out a little.

When flipping the lever to turn the air off, is it supposed to de-gas slowly or quick like an axe? When I turn the air off, it takes like 30 seconds to drop from 185 psi to 50 psi, then I have to turn the eyes off and shoot it a few times to release the rest.

Hi 913Boyd,
Check the pin on your tank regulator, that it doesn't stick up above the top of the regulator. The pin on the Vanquish ASA/Regulator cannot be adjusted. It should be close to flush with the brass hex nut in the ASA area.

For the future if you have a specific question about your paticular Vanquish put it in its own thread. I will be monitoring the whole Vanquish forum. I meant this thread to be for more general Vanquish questions. I apologize for not clarifying that.

Thanks

The ASA/Regulator works just like an Axe. Due to tolerances some ASA's may degass faster or slower than others. You can also try dropping some paintball marker oil on the ASA pin, it could just be a little sticky.
