I found it particulary stupid, and indicative of the regime's beliefs when he said " We must continue to work hard....Terrorism around the globe will not cease anytime soon" and then recieved a standing ovation.

Thanx,
Brackis

Terrorism will always be around, no matter what we do. Bush or any other upcoming president will never be able to completely control, or remove terrorism.

I love how general clark claimed he would never allow another terrorist attack on U.S. soil, that is is pure ingornace.

WHY would you ever consider clapping when someone is saying that terrorism will be around 5 years from now. That is like saying, "America must eat a lot of food, because tommorow 24,000 people with starve to death".

NOT something to be happy about in any sense, yet somehow killing people is a topic of triumph.

Thanx,
Brackis

What are you talking about??????
I was making a point that they clapped immediatley after "Terrorism will not cease as we want it to"...
You can infer he wanted to say america will work hard to fight terror (I think he forgot to mention this in the rest of his speach ), but it comes out very wrong.

What does my laughing at a poor sentence in a speadch have anything to do with a genocidal dictator?!?!
You're just becoming pointless in calling me a stalinist and weakning your points.

Thanx,
Brackis

"Efficiency of a Stalinist ran farm" isn't comparing you to Stalin.

Could be argued either way. I took it negatively.
Not worth arguing anymore when there is much more analyzing of Bush to be done.

Care to enlighten me on exactly who you are mocking then?

Edit - Perhaps you're not mocking anyone in this case. But why do you insist on repeatedly correcting the word Thanks and then writing Brackis?

I don't think its very wise to point out other people's spelling errors when you yourself don't have a firm grasp on the subject.

I agree that when people write* their* name at the bottom of everything like we don't know who they are, it tends to get annoying but uh, this joke as you see it is ****ing lame. You doing it only makes it worse.

For the paradigm of wisdom, youíre not very quick.

Like I said he knows he does it, so itís not so much of a spelling error but the unwillingness to correct it that Iím mocking.
