Paintball players, you make me ashamed. I'm happy to be finished, as unfortunate as it is. This entitled attitude paintball players have makes me want to throw up... Youre asking this guy to re-design something he's designed, and GIVEN to the community for free.

A simple.. "Thanks Simon! Heres a few bucks for the help" would do. Instead, you get complaints about how tall it is, or how ugly it is, or how its already been done with hot glue and a dremel in your garage...

Heres the tl;dr
Same height as modern force feed loader.

I'd like to see someone open a shop, make these, and sell them to the public who doesn't have access, time, or knowledge to make this or have it get done.

Oooooh snap. Now we're talking. I did really like the fact that this hopper will still work as a force feeder without the motor/batteries. Kinda like a high-cap airsoft magazine.

This thing WILL be sitting on top of my gun by the end of the summer. Hopefully way before. Awesome concept. Thanks Simon!

I'd imagine if you wanted it molded, we'd have to get together as a community and invest into it as a kickstarter or something.

As running individual shells, it looks like printing is the best option.

I'll see what I can get done at school.

Yes. From what I read, abs would be superior to pla for this application.

I8somepie- I posted in the custom build section on here and MCB about 3D printing loader shells back in Feb I believe. I got a couple guys interested but buying good plastics to use for a mold can be expensive and most lost hope.

I wanted something than took Revvy internals since they started making them again. However Simons idea is great and still affordable. Its just I don't have access to a 3D printer or know of companies around herethat could do the task. If you could I'll gladly pay if Inception doesn't sell these. I love the fact that he has released the STL files for this and I will download them once I get home just in case.

A lot of these guys want other loaders because that's what they have. But you could check the BSTs and spend $35 on a broken shell Halo and call it a day.

I need one of these for my 6.5.

Can't thank you enough for this. Leave it to one of the most technical skilled pumpers to help out the pump community.

Exactly. Someone earlier was telling him to fix all these things on it, and I told him to just make one himself. All Simon did was make the designs open source. He isn't going to be selling it or remaking it, because he is working on other projects that will keep his business, the one that makes things open source and accessible for us players like this, open and working.

regardless of whether you like the hopper or not, hes also promoting open source in the industry. hats off to you simon, hopefully the industry will use open source to work together, rather than law suits. Sure it's not the perfect hopper but it is open source, which means ANYBODY could improve upon it(say dye or empire). then they could make those improvements to provide to the community rather than another design with potential that never hit the market because it was stuck behind greedy patent holders

as a fellow engineer i like it nicely done for a small profile force fed pump hopper. What other projects are you looking into?

yea... I made myself hungrier with that post. it's just after lunch here and I haven't eaten anything

One thing that I think people are overlooking is that Simon open sourced the project - just download the files and change the dimensions you want changed.

It should be possible to keep the critical dimensions (the catchcup stuff) and modify the ball-holding area simply enough.

Great idea, I commend you for making this an open source project.
I have made a few of these types of hoppers for myself over the years. I used revi style paddles and motors.

3D printing is a revolutionary technology, I use it quite a bit and will likely print out one of these myself down the road.

If you want one and cannot access a 3D printer yourself. Here is a few options.
1) Find a rapid prototyping firm/shop in your area, send them the file, pay the money.
2) Find a local 'hacker space', join up (they are great I'm part of 2 in my area) they are community funded and run shops for people who dont have the space or funds to run a shop themselves. Often there is a 3D printer on hand, join up or offer up the project and pay for the materials. (though it is usually an FDM system not a smooth SLS like the OP used, FDM will yield rougher/weaker designs)
3) Find a local technical college, they usually have a SLS/FDM printer on hand. Offer it up as a project to the prof' in charge.
