Dm12 questions

So I'm new to the dm game so I have a couple of questions, that I realize I should just put on my thinking cap and figure it out myself but I don't want to do that. First, the dye slick lube really doesn't seem that thick. I put it on my bolt but it seems real chalky, it's not supposed to be like that right? Second, the grip on the reg is actually turning, not the reg itself just the grip. If I take that off (assuming I can) would putting dish soap on the inside then washing it out reduce the slip? Thanks for the help.

dye slick is just like smart parts "sleek" lube. if you don't want to use that many people prefer monkey poo, lurker lube or hater sauce.

the reg grips will freely turn all the time. even more so if there is paint underneath. you can wrap some hockey tape on the reg so it gets better grip with the sleeve.
