DM7 Leaking Regulator

My DM7 is leaking where the regulator meets the body of the gun. The leak gets worse as i back the regulator screw out and it get quieter when the screw is all the way in. It never goes away though.

Heres the kicker. The regulator WILL NOT unscrew! i cant get the damn thing off the marker! the last time i know its been off is a few years a go when i sent it in to dye.

Would they have locktighted something in there?

Anyway, there you go. I cant figure out how to unscrew the regulator and find the leak.

any thoughts?

Just an update if anyone else is having the same problem.

I had to wrap a rubber strap wrench around the regulator (mostly for protection) and then use channel locks around the rubber to turn it. It was difficult but i managed to get it unscrewed. It seems dye does a really good job at snugging the regs down.

Also, when i unscrewed the reg, i found a busted o-ring. I replaced it and it stopped the leak..

Thanks all,

hyper 2 regs are the most annoying to get off because they end up getting stuck. it will require the massive allen and the strap wrench 90% of the time.
