Up to you. Don't really need an electronic hopper with a spyder sonix though.

slow down there, know the gauge goes that high but...

NEVER FILL AN HPA TANK TO 6000! EVER!!!!

back on subject if you are just playing rec ball a gravity feed like the primo is fine.

If you plan on staying in paintball you can buy a decent hopper like a halo now so that you wont need to upgrade once you get a better gun. If all you play is occasional recball and don't see a new gun in the near future get a shake n shoot or a cheap revvy.

I'd love to know where he gets 6k fills, I'm having trouble finding proper 4.5k fills.

Here is how I understand tanks:

Your basic carbon fiber tank isn't entirely carbon fiber. There is actually a thin metal tank wrapped in carbon fiber to reinforce it. When you fill a tank, even though you don't see notice it, the tank does actually expand like a balloon. That is basically what they are testing when they hydrotest a tank. It shouldn't expand more than X amount when you fill it.

It will hold more than 6k, however, metal doesn't take kindly to bending and will eventually break down if it bends too much. Like if you took a metal rod and bent it back and forth over and over, the rod will eventually break.

We get 3K. most days...

As for getting a hopper. Why not? if you have the money to spend pick one up.

Your spyder is okay with a shake and shoot but it would be a little better with a Halo and if you trade up to an electro down the road they would not be okay with gavity feed (if you shake your Mini more than twice your just playing with it)

The Primo is great for both mechs or electros. As long as your have functioning eyes on the electro, you can even play rec speedball with a primo fairly well. It doesn't hold the constant flow rate needed for more competitive games, but the Primo is great for holding you over until you can grab a force fed.

Exactly. That's why all CF tanks also have a shelf life of 15 years I think? After that the internal metal shelll can no longer be trusted due to the constant expansion and contraction.

15 years then the tank has no use to anything. Best to have it destroyed

That sucks but is kinda Ironic. Always go for electric hopper vs gravity. Its a upgrade down the road you do not need and it can help your came alot too. First day I had my Tippmann Crossover I stayed in Mechanical just like my old gun to get a feel, and that electric hopper makes a Huge Diff. Just remember to have spare batteries in your bags!
