How often do you play?

Just curious how often most of you get to play. Do you feel paying high-dollar for equipment is worth it for you?

I'm currently coming back from a 3-year hiatus and I'm looking to get some new stuff. I had an Invert Mini, Dye i4 mask and other nice stuff but sold it back then and now wish I still had it, lol.

Basically, I'm just trying to justify the cost of everything and trying to determine how much I'll actually be playing. It seems the fields are closed to practice and such during the week. I may, eventually, look into joining a team doing some tournaments and whatnot.

high dollar equipment is relative. worth it if you can afford it. if you're planning on playing tournaments, unfortunately teams will be looking for "tournament level" equipment which will get pretty spendy.

Paying for high dollar equipment is worth it for me. I don't wanna shoot a mediocre gun and later regret it thinking I should have got something nicer.

You can pick up used gear relativity inexpensive too dude.

Probably a full used setup for around 500 bucks.

I took a 4 year hiatus..... Started back late last year. I tried playing with some old gear, got rid of it. Re-did my whole gear bag, I've also, bought/sold/traded 9 high ends in the last 8 months and to be honest.. I dont regret any of it one bit.

I practice every Sunday with my team, and sometimes drilling, or double practice on Saturdays, especially before national events. It's a lot of money, but the most fun aspect of the sport for me. Buying used or older high-end equipment is the way to go.

I play often that for me high dollar equipment would be worth it. Unfortunately, I don't have high dollars.

Weekly. Coming back into it is hard because before you probably aquired your gear over time. To jump back in you are going to be purchasing your stuff all at once. High end is worth it if you play I can always justify it plus there is a bit a of "look good, feel good play good"
factor.

I know it would be worth it. I want to get out there every weekend so I should get better stuff... I am just wishing, now, that I hadn't sold everything. LOL

If I had the weekends off I would go year round.

I am a new magfed player so its time to change my strategy this year and i can tell you my marker setup around was a pocket killer.

I play every weekend both days and practice (with and without paint) over the weekdays after work. When I was growing up and playing in Florida, I had no gear or no markers. Joined the military funded all my gear, markers and such, myself. I feel its worth it especially if you are wanting to compete. But you can buy an axe and be able to compete just fine jus the price of paint is gonna bite you in the butt. Don't play in Alaska its about $70 a case of paint where in Florida I was playing $45 for the best quality paint they had..

the way i see it is if you still have a high end made after 07 your still perfectly competetive. guns havent gotten much smaller or lighter since then so theres no real disadvantage, so no need to go spend $1200 on the latest and greatest. on the other hand, if your starting out and buying new gear, i feel its worth it to spend a little extra on a nice tank and loader.

the "mid range" market is much much better than what we had a few years ago too. most are tourney ready right out of the box.

When I was a manager at my local field, 7 days a week I would play. Now that I work a full-time job outside of the field and college full-time, I play about once a week, if that.

lol

We play woodsball every Monday and occasionally Tuesdays. I have an i4 mask. and a **** ton of mech guns. (Cant get hpa filled so i fill my own co2, I KNOW I KNOW bad bad bad but w/e its all i got.) So EXPENSIVE equipment really isnt an issue. If i could get HPA filled around here i would ball with more high end equipment. Once a week i think justifies the cost of the gear, and the cost of 2 or 3 cases of paint a month.
