Best way to stow gear

What are your set ups for storing and transporting your paint ball gear? I have a bag, but find it does not really work for me. Veterans help a newbie out. Post pics if you can.

Duffle bag, and little bit of closet space is a good way to store things..

I have a big backpack that I keep most of my stuff in. I personally carry my marker so I know it isn't being damaged in my bag. im looking into get a big suitcase as my amount of gear expands.

A Wilson tennis bag and a hardshell gig case. The bag has Five pockets, holds all fmy crap and, as it was designed for expensive tennis rackets, keeps my markers safe. The hardshell case is for my expensive guns and barrel kits. Locked up, that baby will keep $1000 microphones (or $1000 markers) safe from thieves, dust, grit, and droppage.

We use an old lockable Rubbermaid storage box. Kind of like a big footlocker. Holds everything we need and sits in the garage ready to go.

This is great and cheap. If you are looking to spend more money though for a great gear bag, just look online they go for close to $200 a pop.

I personally use a 2012 Planet Eclipse Roller Holds 3 sets of gear. (3 Goggles, 3 loaders, 3 markers, 3 pairs of pants, 3 jerserys, 3 packs, 12 pods, my cleats and batteries, swabs, rags, barrel covers.) I store my stuff in my dorm room on base. Better than leaving it in the car in the middle of winter. Store is in like the bottom of your closet or under your bed..

Also, this is very important: if you plan on storing your equipment for more than a month at a time, take all the batteries out of everything. Nothing sucks more than finding out all your expensive electronics are ruined because a battery started to leak acid all over everything. Especially when you're storing them in a warm place like the garage.

I never thought of the Batteries great tip! Also to add to this, keep the Box/Case the gun came in. I have 2 old guns that can bang around in bags or containers for friends or family, but my Crossover I always put back in its box after every use/maintenance. I just have a gym bag for storing for now or tuber ware , also use clothes after being washed to wrap you tanks or masks if your moving lots of stuff, OR if a family member could move it and not know it has valuables.

Not nerd, You are awesome! I've thought about building wooden cases like that, but was worried about the weight. Oh yea, and I'm lazy.

I have one of the giant Valken backpacks. When I could get it for half off brand new, I couldn't say no to that offer. For $25, it was a great investment.

Not to mention now you have to go spend more money on batteries.

plus taking them out will make them last longer, lots of electronics still slightly drain batteries, even when off.

You know...the amount of stuff I have just keep on growing. The batteries thing is big. I take the batteries out of EVERYTHING inbetween uses; certain markers will just keep on draining batteries even if they're not on. Also, as previously stated, corrosion is a heck of a way to break your marker.

As for transporting, I have a few gun bags now, but here's a fun fact. Hockey bags, especially goalie bags, are awesome. We're just out of hockey season so a lot of sports stores should be putting last seasons stuff on clearance. I picked up mine for something like $30 and I could shove a person in there. As for padding, for what I don't have padded bags for, I wrap a rag around...you always need a few for clean up at the end of the day anyway.

I used a duffle bag and played PB gear Tetris for years. Works well, just takes some effort.
