Filming with GoPro on barrel

For anyone who has filmed with a gopro while playing. Should I use the closed door or the open door? Just wondering which would make the sound of shooting less distorted. Thanks

the open door is just fine, however all you hear is your balls in the hopper rattling and whatnot

get a head strap for it, much better

Don't mean to hijack the thread but anyone have reviews on the nummech mount vs the handlebar mount?

if you put it on your forehead be prepared for a lot of the back of your loader.

best option IMO for gogglecam is to mount on the side of your mask with one of the flat mounts it comes with.

handlebar mount works awesome for barrelcam, and if you want a bit better audio use the open back, but beware that you will hear every ball feed, every load every shot pretty loudly. the closed back you still get some audio (mostly gun sounds) but its not as loud.

When I used my gopro I had it with the handle bar mount with a lil bit of rubber wrapped around the barrel to keep the mount from sliding around because even if you tighten down all the way it slips with all the motion. Plus you don't want all the stress of those bolts tied down all the way
If you want it on the googles go with a j hook and your going to need a few extensions to get the camera up right...

I use it open back for the audio, didn't like the muted sounds of the closed back. I have the handlebar mounts and mount the camera upside down and use smaller profile screws so that it doesn't affect my vision.

the barrel cam ends up staring at a fence way to often... kinda annoying

i meant put it over your barrel. you dont get as much bunker in the video then. plus the mount dosent get in the way as much.
