How long should it take to move from D5 to D4?

Our team just played CFPS Event #2 and didn't do very well at all. This is everyone on the team's first season and I'm worried that we're not improving quick enough and we'll be that one team that stays in D5 for 5 years before moving up. How long does it usually take for a team to start understanding the game better and actually improving. We've improved since the last tournament but not enough to make any more of a difference.

Depends on how much the team wants it n how much time n effort you guys willing to put in n improve. Some teams it takes longer for everyone to mess together and develop but if you guys really want to move up. Put in the practice it wont take you long

If you guys work on the basics like communication, guns up, and so on it really shouldnt take that long. Main thing is keep having fun with it, dont make it so serious its like a job. And really dont compare your team to another team, you guys have your own pace for improvement, it doesnt matter how quickly another team moves up, you guys just go when your ready.

The better you do, the better you'll rank up.

It should take one season or less. You need to be practicing against better teams all the time - no playing yourselves or beating up on walk ons.

I play on a private field. There are 4 teams in total that have all been playing longer than us and are significantly better. One of them even took first at a couple tournaments in Georgia. We play these teams every practice and we still haven't won our first tournament game. But you guys are right, I guess if you practice enough you'll slowly improve.

Winning right away is very uncommon. The more you practice, the better. It should take a season or so to be ranked D4.

Idk if my local field is just good, but it took our house team one season to go from nobodies to d3. They had 3 podium finishes in d4. They placed 3rd their first d3 tournament.

Honestly if you guys cant be competitive after 3 months of solid practice at the d4 level, you are either getting sand bagged hard or doing something awfully wrong.

Depends on the past playing history of your players on the house team, and the competition in your area.

Hey there Travis. Thanks for the advice, but coincidentally I'm just one of the players on K-aos. I think you've mistaken me for Brenin's brother. Regardless, the advice still stands. Playing you guys was really awesome and I can't wait to see how Florida Synergy does in future tournaments
