If you're going to upgrade it anyway, get an 08/09 electra off the bay, or here if you can find one.

There aren't as many modifications/upgrades for the newer spyders since Kingman took the initiative and incorporated those upgrades into their more recent models.

I have a fenix and let me tell you it is not bad. The gun is rediculously easy to maintain and it is always there for you. Often times I compare Spyders to dogs, as they are truly man's best friend. They never break on you and you can always count on them to be there for you. Maybe they don't move as quick as the cat next door, but you don't have to worry about hairballs.

Anyways, drifted there. I would get one, but also look into the electra like others said. The electra is more upgradable and is awesome in the titanium color. But generally the performance is about the same. It's really up to you but the fenix is consistent, although the trigger is a bit hard to walk. But when you're practicing for tourneys and using PSp ramping you don't need to be able to walk it that fast. Anyways good luck!

Great guns. Like "bhotz" mentioned, they are reliable guns (rediculously easy to maintain). If you get the chance, try one out before you purchase it. You'll probably like it. The eye system works great, and they have great air efficiency.
