IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT!
Only use factory supplied o-rings on the Vanquish engine.
Performance may be degraded significantly if non-factory o-rings are used. If additional o-rings are needed please contact Empire customer service at www.paintballsolutions.com

Vanquish General FAQ:

Q: What is the bolt spring for? Do I need to use it?
A: The bolt spring in the Vanquish is to help minimize bolt stick ( also known as first shot drop off). Empire suggests using it in cold weather but otherwise, it is not needed as long as the Vanquish is greased properly before each day of play . The spring will not affect any other aspect of Vanquish performance.

Q: Does the Vanquish work with HP and LP output compressed air tanks?
A: The Vanquish will work with any tank with an output of at least 450psi and up to 1000psi. Lower psi tanks have not been fully tested but it is expected that a tank with sufficient flow at lower pressures will work as well.

Q: What pressure does the Vanquish Operate at?
A: The Vanquish usually runs at between 160-180psi with correct paint to barrel match at default settings.

Q: How do I check the pressure of my Vanquish?
A: The pressure is displayed on the OLED screen of the Vanquish while the Vanquish is in live mode. Use left or right on the joystick to change the display.

Q: How many shots does the Vanquish get per tank.
A: Approx 1500+ shots from a 88ci/4500psi tank. Proof:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G29C-9h-5VM
Drew Templeton Vanquish Efficiency Test (88ci/4500psi)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQYa4fZ39v0
PbN Vanquish Efficiency Test (68ci/4500psi)

Q: What type of battery does the Vanquish use?
A: The Vanquish uses one 9V battery located in the rear grip frame. It is suggested that quality name brand Alkaline or Lithium 9V batteries are used such as Duracell Coppertops or Energizer Ultimate Lithium’s. It may work with some rechargeable 9V batteries but it is important to note some rechargeable batteries may only charge up to 7.4V.

Q: What kind of valve is does the Vanquish use?
A: The Vanquish is a balanced spool valve paintball marker.

Q: What colors does it come in?
A: At release the Vanquish comes in Black, Silver and Atomic Orange.

Q: What is the maximum rate of fire of the Vanquish?
A: The Vanquish is capable of cycling up to 25 times per second but actual rate of fire will depend on speed of the loader used in addition to the settings of the electronics.

Q: What teams are using the Vanquish?
A: The Vanquish is used by professional paintball team LA Infamous.

Q: Where can I find a manual for the Vanquish?
A: http://www.paintballsolutions.com/in.../about/empire/

Q: Where can I find software updates for the Vanquish?
A: http://www.paintballsolutions.com/in.../about/empire/

Q: Can the ASA/Regulator be adjusted forward and backward?
A: The ASA/Regulator is in a fixed position.

Q: How often should I lube my Vanquish bolt system (also sometimes called the engine)?
A: The Vanquish bolt system should be cleaned and lubricated before each day of play or every 10,000 shots (whichever comes first) for maximum performance. The marker has a built in monitor to remind the user to lube every 10,000 shots that must be reset manually.

Q: Isn’t the Vanquish just a Luxe copy?
A: Both guns work on a similar Balanced Spool Valve but there are 2 key differences that allow the Vanquish to perform at a higher level. One is the Vanquish Quick Exhaust port in the rear of the bolt which increases cycle speed and efficiency making the Vanquish more air efficient than a Luxe. The other difference is the solenoid. The Vanquish uses a faster switching, lower flow solenoid than a Luxe meaning the Vanquish bolt reacts more quickly to an electronic signal but also moves more slowly. The result is a smoother shot with less kick that is gentler on paint than a Luxe while still maintaining the same rate of fire. Additional features that set the Vanquish apart from the Luxe are the OLED Display, the industry changing electronic pressure sensor technology and the single size hex key design.

Wow it really looks like empire is going directly at DLX's throat here. Interesting.....

for a 1500 marker, is the ugliest parts kit that i've seen, the empire axe and invert mini have a boxed parts kit and they are a 300dlls and a 450dlls markers

I know it comes with a head band and a bottle opener but come on those 2 things are not going to make me win games.

I know guys you can do better than this. just my opinion

Yeah, but you would not want a hard plastic case in your neoprene gun case. Honestly it is only O-rings and rubber detents in the parts kit.

I wasn't aware that a plastic container would help you win games....

We are not going at anyone's throats. We knew this is one of the questions we would get and we are simply stating differences because they may not be obvious at first glance.

well you know now ;-)

having a good spares kit separated by o-ring numbers at least like PE does in all their markers, is a great help when your marker goes down in the field you can fix your leaking spool marker much faster because they are all identify. instead of trowing all the o-rings in one single bag and without a good printed manual that helps you out with the problem.

We are looking here to a hi-end marker that doesn't come with a printed manual at least

It seems to me that you are trying to find reasons not to like the Vanquish. Have you shot one yet? If you haven't, you should get your hands on one. Ill be at PSP Chicago and if you're there, you are more than welcome to try both the LV1 and Vanquish.

thank you paintball7410 but I will not make it to chicago. and yes pretty much I'm between those two markers 60% vanquish 40% LV1 so most likely I will end buying the vanquish, and keep my ego11 as a backup.

But those are my complains on paying for 1500+ marker ;-)

Nice video. I thought the packaging was very nice as well. The quality control card "inspected by" is a nice touch as well. Makes people feel people feel good mine was missing the lube but that really doesn't bug me.

Attention Mac Users: Vanquish USB Tool Application update available now, 7/3/13. If you have an older version it is recommended you uninstall the old version and download the new one. Vanquish Mac Applications can be downloaded at paintballsolutions.com under Empire brand.

Please post questions in the ASK JAMIE thread, this thread is meant for information only.

There are 2 applications for computers. The Vanquish Boot Screen Editor is a grid representing the OLED screen. The Vanquish USB tool allows for software updates and settings changes.
Go to paintballsoutions.com to get the applications
