His gun probably went down. Many of the pro teams keep a few lower end markers around in case someones main gat goes down mid match. Spares them not being able to play without taking someone else's gear and also eliminates having to find a gun from someone not on the field that point to borrow.

I'm sure its nothing worth thinking about in any event.

I would too... personally I find the axe to be a fantastic gun at any price range and it is extremely comfortable to me. Also, they're using the "pro" version of the axe which is $700 AND infamous uses a boss bolt.

Honestly, pros shoot whatever they get their hands on. It could be any one of the scenarios people described from his DM13 down (needing a battery) to a sponsorship agreement. Bottom line is that guns really don't matter to the extent people seem to think. A $1500 luxe doesn't make you a more competitive player than a $300 mini.

Hopefully things like this will encourage more people to get over the stigma of owning an entry level marker. The fact is paintball is a luxury sport in a less than blossoming economy, it would be better to have a lot of new players using rails, minis, ions (exty or whatever), and whatever other entry level marker I have forgotten, than to have only a few players using high end markers. It's not the marker its the player blah blah everyone knows that, I feel that some players quit the sport unfortunately because they feel they cannot be competitive without a high end marker. I remember feeling that way when I was a teenager, now that I have wised up a bit I buy older high ends lol. Hopefully my point is communicated that low ends help the sport just as much as high ends.

Generally as the one quoting, shouldn't you provide a source? "Look at Dye Paintball's picture" doesn't even begin to point people in the right direction.

The PMR isn't any more/less efficient than the DM by any significant degree. Personally, I don't see why anyone would choose the DM over the reflex rail. The rail is smaller, lighter, and doesn't have anything the DM doesn't have.

Yeah you can break just as many eye pipes with the reflex as you can a dm.

I don't remember who, but someone on Dynasty (when they were all shooting shockers) used to shoot an epiphany. He said he just prefered the feel and if I had to guess SP chose to run the ad to boost sales and it probably worked.

Different operating systems. The DM is more complex, which to me says more to go wrong.

He had to have been paid to say that lol. I had an epiphany and while it did shoot nice good lord it was a brick. I couldn't imagine playing a four day tourney with one. After about half a day I had to put it down and grab the ion.

Haha no I didn't. Couldn't afford them back in the day. As high end as I ever got back then was the pump style bushmaster that was used. Cut grass all summer to save up for a new phantom and thought I was ****tin in high cotton then lol.

Actually, I don't think the PMR/Reflex have a LPR, and the DMs do. That can make a huge difference in colder weather.

At least I feel like that was a huge part of why I bought a used DM6/7 as opposed to a 2012 Rail.

The rail and reflex should work in almost any weather as should the DM. The DM can be setup for the weather though by turning your dwell and or LPR up. The rails can be soft on paint but the way they are setup there's not much you can change to make it softer on paint.

Good to know, but the guy I was quoting said the DMs and the PMR/Reflex were the same guns, and they aren't. People may want to pay more for a DM because of the LPR and greater ability to tune the shots. All I was trying to say.
