Dunno, have to check state law/ call the dmv. Somebody could also just get a CDL and be winning.

then that one person would have to always drive it. not it.
if the bus was originally designed to carry 16 or less we can drive it. it can not be modified and it has to weight less than 16,000lbs i think.

i have a chauffeurs license. you only need a CDL if it has air brakes i believe, i could be wrong though. do buses have air brakes? probably so....sorry for the useless post...

The bus would be better. Take some of the seats out of the back so everyone can brin their own gearbag and put a futon mattress?? Anyways found this.
-Any vehicle designed to carry more than 15 passengers (including the driver) requires a CDL with a "P" endorsement, regardless of the weight of the vehicle. Some states have a restrictive CDL
http://www.dmv.org/ar-arkansas/special-licenses.php
This means if I was designed to. Even if we take seats out or alter the seating still need a CDL

Here is a checklist if you go get it.
Gas motor:
Make sure it starts and idles good.
Has good oil pressure.
Has good charging system
It doesn't smoke out of the exhaust pipe
Doesn't leak oil and pull the oil dipstick out if its a light brown DON'T BUY IT!!! should be black or if its new oil dark dark brown.
If it has the 700r4 trans make sure it shifts trough all gears. (There is 4)
Diesel:
Don't know much about.
All I know if its a converted as motor don't buy it.
