What I found to work best is to just spray paint the end opposite the lid any color you want. I recommend this over duct tape because I've found that duct tape can actually be too grippy and make it hard to pull a pod from your pack(figured this out in the middle of a tournament ). Also it prevents theft because unlike duct tape it can't be quickly removed.

Another off topic question. My friend got an Us Army Alpha Black marker, Is that usable for speed ball?

Usable? well most markers can be used to play speedball. Is it ideal? Not so much. The biggest problem will be the size as it will be hard to play bunkers tight. Another disadvantage that may come up is that, assuming it is mechanical & single triggered, it will be hard to obtain a high rate of fire if needed.

But hey if it is all that you have and you want to play speedball, go ahead. I've seen many beginners/rec players use these and similar markers on air ball fields.
