Where to get Relay spare parts...

One of my Axes just picked up some pretty bad reg creep and the typical "oiling the reg" didn't resolve it.

I've already dispatched an email to Paintball Solutions (Boss also) to request repair parts, but does anyone know where to buy the clear reg seat?

All the Relay orings have all been replaced from my oring kits, but that little guy can't be found anywhere online (by me at least).

I hate not being able to fix a gun in a couple of minutes on my own...

So any leads out there? I'd love to buy 5 or 6 of them.

Jt paintball parts is another alternative, but I'd support boss. If he had better shipping rates for small orders I'd never go anywhere else.

Yeah, sadly insured Priority mail is not cheap. But for those that do want cheap, I do ship 1st class for those that do want it.

Wish I'd have called in my order, I think I paid more on shipping than orings.

Got a reply from Paintball Solutions this morning... all I have to say is YIKES!

Quote:
The first thing we like to send out is the board. Many times, replacing the board can fix a minor reg creep. SO-******* is the order number and it is on the way to you. If this does not work, we can rebuild it or send a repalcement.

Thanks

Send some parts regarding the regulator please

If I had said something about bad velocity consistency.. sure.. I could dig it. But all I said was reg creep/gauge going up.

Like I said... maybe a new guy? That's how my company brings new people into the call center. They get their feet wet working on emails - where you don;t have to "directly" interact with the customer.

So they hit me back on my email... instead of sending a reg seat and a couple of o-rings, they're sending a complete new Relay.

Suits me just fine... will be nice to have one on stand-by... but seems super wasteful - I hope they have great margins built-in to these if that's how they treat a leaky reg!

No, you cannot service one. They are built that way.

I have the tools to take them apart... it's actually quite easy.

Slotted screw driver to remove the back cap; 3mm nut driver for the reg pin.

5 o-rings and this proprietary reg seat... super simple.

It voids the warranty, I believe

Meh.

I'd rather have a functioning gun at an event where it counts vs. waiting on Paintball Solutions to get their **** together and send some parts...

I'm not aware of any other manufacturer with such rediculous policies.

Cleaning and maintenance of the regulator is key in having a top performing paintball marker.

I can't find it, but I'm almost sure it's considered "advanced" user serviceable now.

Actually... if you read the text in the manual, it does not say you void the warranty by taking it apart. It states that damage caused by the user is not covered.

Manufacturer speak for "we'd prefer you don't take this apart, but if you do and **** it up, we're not sending you another".
