Do the same 3 or 4 people that compete in the regional tournament have to be the same for the national tournament? For example, one or two of the players can't make it to nationals so could we switch them out with someone else?

just put your extras in your regional roster.

I'm pretty sure they only allow 4 on a roster. I wonder if we will be playing with the new PSP rules since we played PSP format at the last regional.

Were you at the west or southwest regional last year? How many teams were there? I've been wondering if it was worth going; if I take a team out there I want to compete, not just play a few points against the only team there.

I went to the west regional. There were 6 teams there. Last year entry was slightly cheaper but 120 is still way cheap compared to other tournaments. Also with having a paint limit you'll have a hard time shooting over more than 3 cases.

Thanks. I guess that'd be worth it. It seems fun and its about 200 miles away from where i'm at so I might do it. The students at my school aren't very into paintball, i'm the only one who actually plays speedball. If I got two woodsball guys with their 'upped 98 customs would we have a chance (i'm shooting an axe and know how to play speedball)?

Your location says SoCal so if you're closer to colton rather than Sacramento I would recommend going there, whichever is closer. Gun choice shouldn't be too big of an advantage/disadvantage. If you split the paint even each person gets 200 balls for that point(a hopper full for most electronic hoppers). Last year we could shoot PSP ramping so that's the only advantage an electric marker would give you, however you can run out of paint pretty fast that way. Ultimately, it will come down to experience. I recommend you have your friends play speedball at least once before throwing them out to the wolves because that transition from woodsball to speedball is a tough one initially.
