Go pro 1 or 2 3 is probaby overpriced there running 300$ but the go pro 1 is 120$ last time I checked online and 110$ at radioshack. The only difference is the 3 has a built in Wi-Fi and the 1 does not and the 3 has a different case and a bigger lense thats about it.

Also the 3 is sharper. The lens is a flag Lens and there are more recording options. In my opinion pop the extra money and buy the hero 3

Contour makes a great Camera. Low profile and light. I like them much more then go pro stuff.

I prefer gopro over contour because contours image looks grainy while gopro looks smooth

I agree that the gopro's resolution looks a little smoother, but the contour looks like it was designed to mount to a marker, whereas the gopro can look bulky and awkward on certain markers. Also the countour comes with a goggles strap mount, which is awesome for getting first person views, i dunno where i would mount a gopro for a first person view...

I'll also throw out the Sony Actioncam. It's not as popular as most but the built in image stabilization is very nice. It has more shooting modes than just about anything (Hero3 has a few more I think)
With the case it's a little bulkier than the Contour but still more managable than a Gopro. It mounts very well to goggles or the gun. I make a lot of driving videos w/ my Datsun and a few Bike trail rides and the stabilization is very nice for those. I haven't done a lot of paintball with it yet but I would imagine it would be the same. I know you can post process some with other cams but having it built-in is nice. Check comparison vids on youtube and you'll get a good idea.

I forgot to add, make sure you look at FPS on any camera you decide on. The more FPS (frames per second) you get, the more still photos you capture to make the movie, and you can extract static photos from them. This is really cool to capture action shots.
The downside, is the more FPS you get, the larger the video file. 30 seems to be standard, some of the better cameras allow you to pick the FPS, and go as high as 60.

Contour all the way. Footage is great, it's small and compact, and not as expensive as a go pro.
Audio is great too!
