newly purchased jam blot
i just purchased thr highly regarded jam bolt for my TES, on the package it states: "you may need to back out your ball detent a little bit." first, i have figured out what the detent is, but what does it do and what do i adjust it to.....

The ball detent prevents double feeding of paintballs between shots. The adjustment is probably because the JAM Bolt doesnt have a detent groove milled into the bolt, and the detent may cause excessive drag on the bolt.

the detent is what stops balls from rolling into your barrel. to adjust it, im assuming you would just unscrew it a little bit. (wait for a second opinion tho)

I put a gravity feed hopper on my TES with the eye off, put maybe 40-50 balls in there and shot it at 18-20bps. Out of all those balls only 2 chopped. it did misfire a couple of times but thats how its supposed to work. I didnt have to recock it at all during the testing.

when you say chopped do you mean they actually broke? Cause even if every ball didnt feed to know that it chops one 2 in 50 isnt as reassuring as i was hoping.

that was with a gravity feed hopper with the eye off. If you have a TES with the eye on it will hardly ever chop. And im not saying that you should put a gravity feed hopper on a gun shooting 20bps and go play. Anybody knows at least a revvy is needed. This was bare bottom the worst that could happpen. If you use a 12v revvy it will have less chops. When I said chop, the bolt broke the paintball. The bolt is make to decrease the number of chops that occour during the game. Not to totally eliminate them. Please before you buy one of these put a gravity feed hopper on your gun and shoot 18-20bps. I will guaruntee you will chop way more than 2. I am planning to do more testing with this bolt as soon as I get more paint. Please keep posting any comments you have.
Oh, and if anybody in the Rochester, NY area has a DV camera. Please help me make some vids of the testing.

Oh i didnt mean to say that 20 bps on a gravity hopper would only chop two normally. That is just stupid to think. The bolt did work for you 96 percent of the time. The only thing to me is i only have a ricco ak right now and am going to either get a faster board for my spyder or a one kit. So i think that with the IS switch im going to get that i will out shoot my ricco(i out shoot it with my AMG stock now and then). This just makes me think that i should buy a halo or atleast eggII before a $50 anti chop bolt.

The halo, egg, and bolt will work the same on your spyder. All will keep you from choping, the cheapest is the bolt.
