F8 Noid skrews

you know, the two screws that hold the noid to the body... any idea where I can get these? I would rather not order direct from DP because I just got raped on the shipping of noid springs and orings...

PM me your shipping address. I'm pretty sure I have some of those around in my parts kit.

Thanks buddy, I truly do appreciate the help. Sadly the gun is still pissing air out of the noid.

Quick question:

Is there supposed to be a hole in the "cap screw" on the solenoid?... the one he removes with a screw driver in this vid:

I think so. I seem to recall there being a hole right in the middle of the slot of the cap. Since the piston inside has the o-rings sealing off air, if you have a leak out that hole, it is likely the last o-ring on the piston that needs changing. Also, make sure you are putting the piston in correctly. The flat end goes in first with the tapered end toward the cap and spring.

Thanks for all the help thus far man! I replaced that endcap oring like you suggested and it fixed the problem for like 5-6 dry fires and then it started pissing out air again :-(

Hmmmm.....that doesn't sound right/good. I assume when you say endcap o-ring, you mean the o-ring on the noid piston, correct? That is what I was getting at, the o-ring on the little piston - I believe there are 3 of them for the Fusion/F8 noid.

Off the top of my head.....

Broken/worn/missing noid spring
Busted or worn noid piston o-ring(s)
Noid piston in backwards
Possibly the noid just went bad - not common but does happen.

Have you been able to pinpoint exactly where the leak is from? If not, you can take the gripframe off the marker body - carefull with the eye and noid wires - keep the macro line on and air it up. With the noid exposed, you should be able to pinpoint exactly where the leak is and then fix accordingly.

^yeah the one on the end of the piston on the outside of it... we are talking about the same thing

Brand new noid spring and piston orings. The o-rings are all brand new from o-ring monkey. yeah it is def. the noid... replacing that one oring fixed it for a bit then...I guess I will try cleaning and rebuilding the whole thing with new orings.

Check to make sure there are no burrs or damage to the "end cap screw" that could of possibly damaged that oring. Also what kind of lube did you put on the oring after you changed it out?

Try turning the vlocity adjuster all the way in, BE CAREFUL, just snug not cranked down. Then slowly turn it out until the marker cycles. Maybe the adjuster is too far open or not enough to keep it shooting.

Check to make sure you did not get a kink or cut in the wires when you reassembled and make sure it is plugged in all the way. I know these seem like stupid suggestions but when I have had it with working on something and just want to get it back together and running, I rush things and do silly things myself. I'm sure I am not alone in that. And since you have been messing with the marker a bit to get it going, might try a fresh battery and see if it makes a difference.
