DM8 bolt cap o-rings keep getting chipped

Hello. I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong, because it seems like every time I take out the bolt, one of the front 020 oring of the bolt cap has some damage on it. Does it get sliced by the threads or something?

Has anyone had that problem? Any way to stop murdering my o-rings? I try to be careful when I put the bolt in, so I don't know what does this.

Make sure you have a thin layer of lube on it before you install it. Check the inside of the body for burrs...

You may also want to put a bit of grease on the actual threads before you install the back cap.

One trick I also like to use is to press the back into the threads gently, then turn backwards about a half turn to make sure I have the threads lined up properly, then screw it in. If you encounter a lot of resistance then something is wrong.

The reason I do this is because the threads are sharp so if you cross them even a bit it can cut an oring. You want it(the cap) to go in smoothly on it's own and not force it too much.
