Empire reintroducing the nano feedneck

Sorry if this is old news to you.

But after many searches, and insanely high prices on the few nanos that people have been holding, I gave up and wanted to buy a Sanchez low rise. Paintball gateway was out if stock. However they did shed some good news to me;

Text from them;

Good news and bad news.

Good news, Empire has re-introduced the Nano Feed Neck for the Axe/Mini. ETA June.

Bad news, most likely we will not carry the Sanchez Feed Necks due to supply and the re-introduction of the Nano.

And when I asked if they would stock it;

I have attended the Paintball Extravaganza in DC last week and was presented the new Nano for the Axe/Mini.

Unfortunately some dealers may have overlooked this item but we have high interest in this item due to the failure rate of the stock Axe/Mini feed necks.

So that's awesome for us axe owners who didn't get a nano. Again if this is old news to you, my bad, I did numerous searches on nano feedneck and I haven't seen anything on this.

It's going to be very nice. Same feed neck as the Vanquish.

Well those who were/are selling them at insanely high prices are out of luck now.
Good news!

I think the old Nano was better designed than the new one looks to be. The new one doesn't look to be as short as the original Nano and is designed different.

It will require an insert that threads into the body, which I don't believe will be available separately from the feedneck if I remember correctly.

Ugh. I just had to fix a gun like this yesterday.

A teammate had just gotten his Axe and snapped it off flush I the body on his 2nd point with the gun.

Empire was on point and sent a new feedneck... but they should've really sent a new body too. That's a difficult exchange for your average person.

Took me 3 mins with a torch and wooden dowel :-)

There is actually a much easier way to do it. Just get a small screw driver and find a edge on the piece of broken feedneck and tap it in with a hammer. Work your way aound and the peice will just fold in.

No edge to be found on this one.

Broke off flush, below the edge of the body. The body threads were higher than the highest point of the remaining feedneck threads.

My way didn't leave a single mark/scuff on the body - I much prefer that versus using metallic tools on a brand new gun.

A bit of heat to break the loctite followed by a slightly tapered dowel and it unscrewed quite easily by hand.
