Hey guys so I have played one cfoa tournament ever, and that was 7 years ago. Now I am getting back into playing paintball and me and some friends want to play d5 3man. One of the other guys with me also played 7 years ago and he will be ranked d4 also. Our third guy is d5. Im wondering what the chances are of the CFOA actually letting us repeal our ranks and play in the d5 series. Also are there d4 3man teams? thanks!

File a classification appeal.
No d4 3man, unfortunately.

If it was 7 years ago, it shouldn't be an issue to be reclassed to d5.

One year.. Every year you have to buy a new one.

Still D4 after 7 years? The current system ranks you down automatically each year (with out points added through event rankings). I guess it won't rank you any lower than D4 automatically? Hmm.. that crushes my dreams.

You state you've only played one CFOA event ever. Have you played other APPA sanctioned events?

Actually no I haven't, the 1 cfoa I played in is the only tournament I have done.

APPA won't ever automatically reclassify you down to D5. I got deranked down to D4 as well (I was D3 & haven't played since 2006) but I would think you shouldn't have a issue getting reclassified to D5. One of my old teammates with the exact same APPA history as mine got reclassified no problem.

Pretty sure I was reclassed down to d5 for a single season. I was D4 for a long time, then didn't play an APPA event for a few years. I was d5 for a short time.

So tonight I logged on to set up the new team Im on and the roster for it, anyways Im sitting at D5 now... Is it maybe they dont update your rank by time not played until you log back in? Im not sure, but earlier today it was saying D4 and not im at D5, but I had not yet appealed it.

What level did you play the one event at?...also you can have one D4 on the D5 team...

It was a d4 cfoa, and yea I know but like I said my buddy who was playing back in the day with me was also d4.

Thanks for the interest man, unfortunately over the weekend we picked up 2 more guys that were friends of various people on the team so now we have hit the 5 man limit for 3 man events.
