graphics are amazing, must better movement. Its okay, personally I was really starting to get into ARMA 2 finally. Few things thus far that Ive noticed that im not liking, is the map seems to be far less useful. Markers not showing up, objectives not showing you how far they are and putting a waypoint.

biggest complaint is loadout, going into gear and not having the arrows anymore to remove or add items. Took me awhile to realize how to change things. I do like how you can take attachments and manually place onto your gun, and I like the variety in choices for your rigs between both style and color ways. Im sure itll grow on me more as I play it.

edit: Also not liking how the enemy are hard to see. It may just be buggy from being alpha but it rarely shows the location of them, Ive literally been standing right next to guys and not knowing. I thought they were teammates bc everyone looks so much alike. Much much harder to distinguish whos friendly and foe now.

It's ARMA not COD. Enemy's were never marked unless someone manually marked them.

However, I know where you're coming from. The enemy can very well pass as being American haha.

on the fence with this one too. never played an ARMA game before but i'm getting sick of all the corridor shooters out there now

arma 2 is cheap.. think the full pack is like 20-30 bucks. Need a pretty good rig to run it well though. takes awhile to get use to it but I love it. Especially playing domination servers. Wide scale coop war scenario's. some can take a real long time but when you have players that actually know what their doing and play as a team its a blast.

I may have to pick this up. It certainly is a great looking game. From the videos I've seen, the AI in the Alpha is just dumb enough to make me only want to play it with other people, for now at least.

The AI is dumb.. but also strong.

Its like they have a period of temporary retardation, then all of a sudden they turn on their aimbot and ESP.

Yea, it just looks like their path finding really needs some work. Of course they can aim like terminators because they don't have to rely on human eyeballs in a game where enemies at a hundred meters can basically disappear.

is the constant crashing just from the alpha or am i the only one experiencing it. Almost like every other server i get into...

i dont have server crashing issues, but I have had problems with once it loads and as it starts to show my character it just stops. Or during the loading when its downloading your map and mission briefing it gets to like 95% and stops. have to disconnect and reconnect to server.

so glad i got this game. running around in multiplayer is a ****ing blast, even if i barely know what i'm doing. but yes, i have been crashing constantly no matter what server i try.

yeah it just freezes, and then arma stops working. and they just updated it saying they fixed major crash issues.... apparently not mine. however they did optimize the **** out of it and i get excellent framerate completely maxed. excited to see how itll run when it launches.

ill prob try it out tonight to see if framerate has changed. I mostly only had problems at base. The game would completely freeze for prob 6 or 7 seconds, then drop to like 10fps a few seconds then go back to normal. Probably from all the people and helicopters. Never really encountered much frame rate issues while playing though.

mine does the exact same thing. sounds like its an issue on their end for sure. hopefully the tweaking and tuning over the course of the alpha will get rid of that.
