No, they pose a threat to people that they perceive as authoritarian tyrants.

I remember plenty of irrational bull**** fear. Plenty of comparisons to nazis. You name it. The one thing Ive come to understand over the years is that the American left and the American Right have these caricatures built up for each other which they pull out on command.
Sometimes you don't even need a caricature.

I don't see the problem with that, notice how it says "Defensible", not "Offensible". If you want an example of an Offensible fortress, look to the obama administration.

I know stopping terrorist attacks isn't on Rand Paul's mind because he's a moron.
I was going to argue against you, but I really don't think you'll see outside the dirty windows of your glass house.

I made a petition on change.org for Obama to sign that he will not kill random innocents with drones. He's not commenting... Why do you want to target innocents with drones, Mr. Obama? Why must you be so vague?

"We're going to establish a self reliant community that is bound by shared values."

You know, I don't see a problem with what they are doing. It is good for everyone who doesn't agree with their ideals.

Anyway, on back on point. I don't mind the criticism thrown at either isle. What irks me is when people use these examples as a microcosm. That and the constant use of "extremism" "extremist" "radical" and "bat **** crazy"

If Rand Paul is a moron for standing up for your rights, then what does that make you?

It makes him angry because he doesn't want any rights.

I think these examples serve exactly as representative of a microcosm? Unless my understanding of a microcosm is way off...

Or mine is. I always understood the term to mean "representative of the whole" I suppose I could just look it up.

The guy who spends his time completing "pursuit" challenges which were implemented by a corporately owned internet paintball forum solely for the purpose of generating ad revenue is going to lecture us about common sense.

Great.

Is that the same corporately owned internet paintball forum that you've been posting on for over 3 years?

Ok, I'll admit I don't even know what it is. At first glance it just looked like a way to increase clicks so I ignored it.

Do you think he actually disagreed with it or was it a political move which would help him further on down the line when he tells people, "I didn't vote for that." The No vote wouldn't change anything. I'm not specifying which route he took, just that you see both angles he drew on.
