Insight vs clone GTi
Trying to pick a new gun to update my inventory. I have primarily shot PE guns, but am looking to break out and see what else there is. I already preordered the LV1 and want to switch out my ego 11 with either one of the two.

Well in terms of smooth of shot the clone gti will win. The vcom is also more smooth than the insight. But also the inside requires no pressure testing opose to the vcom. Both have nice boards but gti will display preassure thats another thing you should consider. Because when you get this high in price in paintball guns with two good brands its personal preference nit pick between certain bells and whitlstles that you will prefer to have

If you want a great shot with very good efficiency then the gt/gti should win. If you want max efficiency and will sacrifice softness of shot then I guess the insight is your choice. Personally, if I wanted a gun to shoot like a poppet, I would buy a poppet not an insight. Both should be great guns, just falls to preference.

I already have an ego 07 and 11 and I preordered the LV1 I'm looking for something smooth with a great shot. The ego is a great gun for efficiency I just haven't shot anything else in a long time and like both the insight and GT, but I'm ,waning towards the Gt right now.

Tim2thousand4 said the insight shoots like a single tube G6R and sounds like a mini. From that, it's a reasonably safe assumption that the Clone is smoother and quieter than the insight.

I'm pretty sure Its stated somewhere (forget where) that the VCOM is more on par with the clone with regards to smoothness and that the insight would have more of a responsive shot. With that, it's pretty safe to say the GT/GTi will be smoother.

If you want a smooth shot the Clone GTi would be better compared to the VCOM. The insight isn't a shotgun or cannon, but it isn't as smooth as the other 2.

The GT is also a proven platform. The Insight is Bob's first design at a true spool. Who knows how they will perform after mass production and a few thousand trigger pulls.

I'm a G6r and Clone VX owner. GTi soon to follow. Several teammates have Geo 3's. I find there is a tiny bit more recoil in the G6r than the Clone or Geo, but it is very slight. Maybe it's just me and how mine is tuned? I can't speak to that, but I've had 2 G6r's now and they both shot as smooth as most high end spools. My first G6r was a little louder than my Clone, but only slightly so. I have stood side by side with my friends Geo's and could hardly tell a difference between them and my 2012 G6r. Same for my Clone VX. Who knows about the insight...too new to be tested by enough people for there to be a reasonable consensus.

Perhaps it is the tuning on yours... I traded my G6R for a VX'd clone and while the clone was only marginally smoother and quieter the cycle felt much different. G6Rs (and most poppets in general) have a real snappy feel, presumably due to the fast bolt speed. Spools typically have a cushier feel and less of a vibration feel. Once I had time to dial in my clone it was running under 100psi at 280fps and was amazingly smooth and quiet. The insight will have an extremely fast bolt speed which seems to align with Tim's (who I trust and have spoken to on the phone about this) analysis. Most people looking for a spool expect a certain cycle feel and I think the insight will disappoint them but appeal to former poppet fans.

THe lv1 is very smooth and efficient , so you could just use that
I made a shooting video to prove it
