Geo 3 vs LV1
Alright guys I am going to be graduating in like 3 months and for a graduation gift I asked my parents for a new paintball gun. I can't decide on a Geo 3 or a LV1 which one would you pick if you were in my position.

I have heard from a significant number of people that own Geo 3s that have shot LV1s that the LV1 actually shoots better. It is also much more efficient and the grips look very comfortable. My advice, hold and shoot both before making a decision.
Do you have to shoot PE for sponsor? Just curious.

Nope I just haven't shot PE marker in awhile. Last time I shot a PE marker was in 2008 the SL8R and just wanted to get back with PE. I have a team but we shoot whatever, we don't care.

Oh and I shot a Geo 3 and its nice I havent got to shoot or hold a LV1 but from what I hear it shoots like a spool and the grips are perfect, because you dont have to deal with the LPR sticking out

Yeah I would try to get your hands on an LV1. I have just been hearing wonderful things about them and what better way to try PE again than their new flagship and total revamp of the Ego line?
I still think the Geo is a bit overpriced for the tech of the bolt too.

Probably a week or two later than most expect. I've heard that there might have been a problem with the LPR and that it's being remedied before they get to customers but who knows how true that is.

I was in one of the LV1 tech classes at PBx and one of the beta testers was there raving about how much nicer it is than his geo 3. I think the lv1 is going to be a crowd favorite.

The lv1 is a great choice IMO. I have held the lv1 and shot it, it shoots so smooth and accurate, and its true the front grip without the lpr makes a huge difference. It makes the gun feel way more comfy. The lv1 is a huge and amazing upgrade from the ego 11.

There are some really quiet spools out there so I doubt it is quieter than "any spool". Quieter than previous Egos, well when you're starting point is something that sounds like a howitzer that's pretty easy to believe. The amount of hype over the LV1 is staggering. I'm sure some of it is justified but I would take everything you read/hear about it with a hefty grain of salt until they are in wider release.

Lol, no. Not even close. The Shocker, Luxe, Clone, etc. are on a whole 'nother level which isn't to say that the LV1 is loud, but those three and other high-end spools are scary quiet.

It actually is true, in my opinion, when I shot it, it still sounds like a poppit but its quiet like a spool. The sound is very interesting and I like it!!

The lv1 isnt loud at all, and it actually is true that it is quieter that most spools.

So you've measured the sound of the LV1 and other high end spools with a sound level meter?
Just because you've been told something or think something doesn't make it true. To make a claim like this you best have some hard evidence.
