I have an iPhone. I like iMessage.
That's the only difference that matters to me. And all new android phones are the size of tablets.

$200 is not really a butt load of money, and it has a lot of advantages like easy to find accessories, imessage, it doesn't drain the battery in five seconds, it always works, it actually fits in my hand/pocket, etc.

Roommate of a friend picked up a new MBP with the Retina display and he's happy with how sharp Facebook looks. Told me the price and I nearly fell the **** out of my chair. $2200 for the base model with a 15" screen. ****ing what? |

a regular laptop with similar specs is not all that much cheaper. I've never had a mac computer and maybe never will, but just because you can get a laptop for $200 doesn't mean its as good. Most of the windows laptops are made from flimsy plastic crap. Macbook build quality is much better. There are nicer windows laptops that don't feel like junk, but they aren't cheap either.
