EGO Lv1 VS Vanquish
I'm in the market for a new gun. Right now I have a Geo 3, I've been looking at a Vanquish or a EGO Lv1. I just want to get other peoples input. What are some of your opinions?

Between those two, it is a poppet v spool argument. I would say the LV1, but I think there are better options than those 2.

LV1 looks better because it is a lot quieter than the geo 3 and it is very efficient also what monkeyballer099639 said Poppet v Spool. I honestly think Luxe 2.0 Beats all.

The ego felt more comfortable in the hands when I held both markers. The ego will be more air efficient, and cheaper to get. The egos are already a proven platform, vanquish we still don't know yet, although the guy who designed the vanquish's team had no problem winning world cup with them. Internally, the Vanquish is a mixture of an axe/ego 07/08. It's up to you, but I'd go with the ego.

Pretty hard to compare two guns that aren't in widespread release yet.
Internally the Vanquish is closer to a Luxe, it's not an Axe.

Have you shot an LV1 and Geo 3 side by side? I still find this assessment hard to believe.

How is the Vanquish like an Ego internally at all? Or even like the Axe for that matter?

The Vanquish is nothing like an axe, and nothing like an ego. It is based off the shocker platform and will work and feel almost exactly like a sprung bolt luxe.

Between the 2, I say they both have there perks and either way you wouldn't be disappointed. At the same time out of all the newest guns the GTi and Vcom seem to be the most appealing

I don't think you'll gain enough from either to take the price loss from selling the Geo 3. The vanquish is very similar to the shocker/luxe and the lvl1 is going to be an improvement (to some degree) of the stacked tube poppet markers. Neither will shoot PSP ramping much different than last years top tier markers set to PSP ramping. If you have the need to spend another $1500 pick whichever platform is more appealing to you.

A few of the features of the Vanquish were taken off the ego 07/08, such as the QEV's, which the designer renamed the QEP's (quick exhaust purge). Also, some other internals were similar to the axe, but internally it is very similar to a luxe.

That's a very weak line of reasoning to say the marker is at all like an ego. Does the vanquish use a standard qev like the cockers/ego/ion or is it like the eigenbolt for the shocker where its a hole in the bolt? I'm guessing the latter but haven't followed the vanquish since I saw the first quick shot of the guts.

QEV's were a PE carry-over from their cocker days where they started with them. I absolutely hate QEVs/ QEPs or whatever you want to call them because very seldom is the solenoid air-path flow constrained enough to need them.

You have a new gun... you arent in the market yet? The geo will be a perfect mix of the two. Just keep it.

since very few posts are actually answering with an opinion on which marker to purchase, I will.
EGO LV1 hands down. I am also in the exact same situation as you, and I have decided to go this way. In the end, it came down to shooting like a spool, with the efficiency of a poppet.
Best of both worlds

Not from the reviews I've seen. If you want a butter soft shot with extreme efficiency the G6R with a LP poppet still seems to be the best option.

True, but I just like Planet Eclipse's reliability and maintenance better. I've seen some G6R's have weird *** problems with it, and a bit more care has to be taken for it rather than an ego, which anyone really could take care of. Either way, you're getting a great marker.

Sure you can... It's called the etha.
Also, a brand is not inherently more reliable than another. Designs or design philosophy may vary, but something is not suddenly more reliable because it is PE. How reliable is the cam operated valve system? Nobody knows yet. If brand names make a gun more reliable then I'd slap a PE sticker on a G6R so at least I could have a marker that shoots nice. (Excluding the lv1 which I haven't personally shot.)
