450-550 is just fine. I run SLP so you know the markers can handle it.

Ahhh so the only adjustment is the hpr. The gun just operates at 100psi at the 280 +-fps rating

Does it mean anything if your gt has a number of "0010-0020" on the back?

That is your serial number.
If you are not sure what your pressure is, degass the gun. turn the regulator screw (1/8") all the way in (dont crank it down, just turn it in until it wants to stop)
air the gun up, turn it on eyes off (no paint). Slowly bring the reg screw out while pulling the trigger. It should start puffing. Keep turning it out until the gun cycles fully. Once it does, bring it to a crono and adjust to your field speed.
100psi is where the gun should sit with a good paint to bore match once it is broken in. You dont need to worry about it.

turning the screw in lowers pressure, turning it out increases pressure. When in doubt, its best to start at 0psi and work your way up.
once its set, you dont need to worry. Just crono each time you play and adjust as needed. It wont change much week to week.

So it's not like the first 10-20 units in production

I'm confused as well. Your GT's serial # will be depicted by 4 numbers. I'm not sure what you mean by "0010-0020"

the manual says nothing about the number stamped.
so its just a serial number.
its not like if mine says 0018 than it was the 18th marker in production

The serial numbers do go sequentially in the order the GT's are produced. Is that what you're wondering, or is there something else you're specifically asking?
