Before we go any further- this mod will most likely void the warranty on the frame and possibly the gun. If you don't know what you're doing, please do not attempt to duplicate.




What's that set screw doing there? Yep, I drilled and tapped the frame for a 1/4"-20TPI set screw to be used as a trigger pre-travel adjuster. This takes up all the pre-travel the trigger would normally do before actually striking the firing valve.

It's roughly a 3mm pull, tried it out via dryfiring and I'm not getting any shortstrokes or chuffing or anything, so I'll call it a win. I can actually go a little shorter, but I prefer it how it is now. Also- much to my surprise, the safety still functions!

Pachmayr American Legends. They need to be clearanced around the safety as you can see in the pics, but other than that, they fit very nicely.

Just did the mod on mine this afternoon and am very pleased with the results. Not only is the trigger pull much shorter now it also seems to be easier to shoot fast without the occasional chuff from not fully releasing. I also like how the safety not only still works but seems to fully stop the trigger from moving at all since all the slack gets taken up. Awesome job OP!
