:( help with Barb on ram

So, I have a STO ram, I wanted to put a QEV on the front barb, and the hex bolt stripped on the damn thing. So then I used pliars...which stripped more, and eventually took the nipple off the barb.

Next I cut a slot in it, and tried to flat head screw drive it out....broke one side of the nut head off...so I cut the other side off to have only a flush front barb to the ram.( Just threads inside with nothing outside to grip)

Then I drilled a hole in the inside of the barb, and attempted to insert an easy out and extract the barb.

Now the easy out is stuck in the ram, and the end of the easy out is stripped now as well...WTF!

How do I get this SOB out, or do I just drill it out and re-tap?

I've got a chrome one you can have, if you want it. It's in near perfect shape off a nib STO, less than a case run time.

Send me a PM and I'll have it in the mail in the next day or so.

The only thing I ask is that if you take it, you can't use pliers on it. Get the right tools man.

im not sure, but it might be worth drilling and tapping it anyway. didnt these have different size barbs? or is the rear one the smaller of the two?

the rear one is sometimes 6-40, I've had this happen, first time I took it to a machinist to re-tap the hole, 2nd time (you'd think I'd have learned from the first time) I did it myself: 5/32" bit and 10-32 tap, blue loctite and your choice of barb.
