Better or not

I have shot a geo 3.5 and today i just shot a geo 3 with a IV core in it. I was wondering why not just buy a 3 and put an IV core in it. It will be overall cheaper im pretty sure... Can anyone tell me why people just buy a straight 3.5

- Backcap slides up to unlock the core and allows for a much quicker solution for removal.
- air transfer pipe instead of macro. Gives the gun close to a macro less design
- ergonomics from the lv1 fully integrated into the design

Other then that I'm kinda with you...save the money and do the 3 with an iv core...aside from the back cap and transfer tube, throw on some 3.1/3.5 grips front and back and it's pretty much the same gun...on the flip side with the iv core drop in you get the added benefit of some mechanical adjustment to the propshaft Spring...something the 3.5 does not have.

Don't forget the rear console. That's a heavily underrated feature of the 3.1+.

Care to elaborate? I'm not familiar with how the 3.1 console is any different then previous Geos.

Absolutely...the rear console is excellent! Wraps around to give the grips an almost seamless transition and feel and with one Allen screw removal you can pull it from the grip frame for cleaning or whatever...older rear consoles required you to reattach with 3m or some other adhesive after removal...I enjoy this design much better!

Yep. The pre-3.1's have a glue-in console.....yuck. The 3.1 positively registers with the frame groove using tabs and is held in by a bolt. It's much easier to remove for cleaning and gives the frame a seamless rubber grip.
