eNMey compatibility

Will the eNMey accept parts from older Ions like the Deadlywind Hollowpoint bolt, Clippard QEV, etc?

maybe if you milled some oring grooves into the back of the bolt? I dont see how a QEV would work on it though

Hollowpoint won't work properly. It will air up and fire, but you will have massive erratic swings in velocity since it has no mechanical provision to control dwell. So basically as long as you hold down the trigger air will be coming out of the barrel. That's what the dual tail o-rings on the eNMEy's bolt do, mechanically seal the firing chamber on the forward stroke of the bolt.

Lighter bolts will at least dramatically reduce kick, I briefly tested an older TechT L6 bolt (still has a tail with o-rings) and it shot MUCH smoother than stock. I'm hoping it will allow me to lower the pressure and get better efficiency as well but I haven't tested it yet.

A Clippard might work, but you'd need to find a 4mm barb for it as the hoses are bigger than the older Ion hosing. As far as I can tell that would be the only hangup to installing one, although it's not yet known how much of a benefit a QEV would be to these markers yet. One of the techs at GOG told one of my guys at PBE that it wouldn't do anything for it, but I intend to test it anyway. Just trying to line up a day to do it and some people to help me film.

The one thing I would like to see is a mod to make the trigger have less travel.

Someone on mcb drilled/tapped his enmey frame to use a grub screw like the ion frames, the ones that limit post-travel. I think he's a member here, too. Ingenious.

Uh, hi And it was pre-travel. eNMEy's legitimately do not have any post-travel to adjust out, the firing valve is at the very end of the trigger's travel.

Look, I'm NOT one of those guys lol... I shoot real steel fairly regularly, and .357's at that, but since that's the term that gets thrown around here I just use it so everyone knows what I'm talking about.

But the fact is, you don't realize how much weight is knocking around in the stock bolt until you put a lighter one in and can't feel it anymore. I was surprised how much of a difference I felt with the L6 as far as smoothness of the shot was concerned.

I was joking. But I'll have to check in out, depending of how much it costs.

Holy ****, this was seriously helpful. That's definitely a rarity.

Going to try the 4mm option. I have a feeling the ones from the Infinity Legend may be affable.

And on the bolt: righto. Gonna find an NDZ Skeleton bolt, now.

hey, don't thread jack. You're old enough to know that.

Look around, that's what I'm doing.

I found a stash of skellys for $5 a pop last year and I'm kikcing myself in the *** for not buying any.

that said, looking forward to finding another that isn't $25 a stick.

Firebolt sucks ****. avoid unless it's given free or less than $5 shipped (free).

ebay, ANS, and Punishers have a few different bolts available. look for a one piece with dual tail orings, the firebolt only has a single oring.

i remember seeing Trinity, Redz, Shocktech, Bob Long, and a Techt L6 bolt online.

I found my L6 on ebay. Didn't get much of a deal on it, but since they're hard to find (even TechT doesn't have any, contrary to what I saw posted in the eNMEy thread in the news section) I sucked it up and paid what they wanted. Still less than new but not by much.

Firebolt won't work for you, again, because it doesn't have dual tail o-rings. At least at the moment, this is a must for any bolt you're going to use in the eNMEy short of a Yoda closed-bolt conversion kit (and closed bolt presents enough issues on its own).

To the best of my knowledge, they never made any of those to fit the bolt-out-back firing cans. They were made for the older style cans that threaded together in the middle, and those used a different sized bolt stop section. However, there's a chance the Unicorn mod MIGHT work with an L7, in which case you could cobble something together that works. I think I saw someone post somewhere (either here, or MCB) that they had one running like that, but I never saw any pics or video to confirm it.

Did some testing with the L6 today and was very pleasantly surprised at the results. I don't want to be a tease, but one of my teammates is working at editing the footage so I don't want to give anything away until the vid is done.

gonna guess that you were scoring like 2200 to the 68/45

working on the L7 game.

I wish I had more money beacuse the enmey would be a wonderful marker to use as a test platform. simple, reliable, easy to interchange bolts, so I could make a really concise video.

ST vs techT vs NDZ vs Stock vs Firebolt
