You mean the nice old school plastic? I have 2 more! Lol the pleasures of playing when that was the best hopper available. Those newer ones are junk.

This is a great mod. I got a few parts kicking around. I may have to try this.

The nose of your hopper should be protected by the bunker if you are playing it right, if you are sticking it past the front of the bunker or out the side then that's an overplay and makes you very vulnerable. Your pump hand would also be exposed.

IMO these look horrible compared to sportshot revvies (which themselves are quite ugly). In any event, no, not new, and no, not the next big thing. But I noticed you took that part out of the OP, so

It looks sick now!!!!

I have an old school Revii, I just may try this mod. I'm not sure if I'll ever break away from my Sportshot though.

Only to stop those little trolls from crawling out from under the bridge.
You must be from Hawaii, try not to be so typical.
2 types of Hawaiian's, super laid back nice guys and your type. Didn't your mommy tell you if you don't have anything nice to say, keep your effin mouth shut.

I see the nose of peoples revys all the time. Its very common to see when playing a back corner and watching the opposing team playing a small darito try and shoot at someone deep in snake. I don't see how your trying to argue that?

Not to mention, that's just a benefit. Not the reason I did this.
This is so I can carry and use 100 round pods more comfortably. The fact that it brings the weight of the hopper over your trigger hand is just another added bonus. IMO.

Eh, don't get too upset. Small hopper mods are kind of my thing and have been for a while, I have spent way too much time thinking about this stuff. I'm mystified and not just a little dismayed that the industry has not stepped up to the plate to serve this market. I've personally been trying to for years, but I can't seem to find a serious enough partner willing to work with me.

The reason this mod hasn't really taken off is that it's even less compelling than the original eggo mod. If you like it, great. To be honest, I wish this or any mod this clean was the obvious best answer.

Realistically all it would take is the bottom half of a rotor and a custom lowerd top for it so just half the size for when you need it and then could switch back to the full size

DYE probably wouldn't see a need to but would be cool if a third party made a Rotor accessory which was just a lower capacity top.

Great idea! Where's the dye rep at?!

I don't know if pump demand is high enough for one of the main company's to make one . hopefully with empire and Bob making pumps, someone will soon release one to the public.

They do make a high-cap shell. Maybe they should make a low cap shell

I think a pump players dream hopper is no hopper

Nice modding though, while these kinds of mods have been done many times before this is a very clean job, and kudos for going for it. I still rock my revvy for open class.

"I've personally been trying to for years, but I can't seem to find a serious enough partner willing to work with me.". ....hmmmm wonder why?!

Saw the eggo, it only holds 50-80. More for 50 round pods. I love the concept, Just wish the halo fit better on the egg base.

Best idea so far is caballodiablo's rotor low capacity tops....that'd be sweet

Or got paints invisible hopper

Probably for the same reason they haven't made their own ... it's not on their radar. The patent licensing is probably not something they would even bother with. I don't know. Same with fiber wrapped pump tanks. Big corporations = not as many niche products.

Definitely more than 50, most are in the 100 round range. That's about the capacity where it makes sense to make a new hopper. The 50-round fed hopper is a totally unserved market. If it's 150 or more then it's most of the way to a full sized revvy already, so there would be automatic competition.
