You're not using a barrel kit... what bore is your barrel?

Other Trilogies? No, not really. Certain ones got a adjustable regulator and higher flow poppet valve, but all the internal dimensions of the marker itself were the same.

did you by chance take out the ball detent on the left side of the gun? I've seen that be the problem.

The detent will not be the problem, the barrel keeps the ball from rolling out.

Stock bolt is fine, don't bother changing it.

Hpr might not be needed... you need a good paint to bore match. Under bore is better.

I have the same problem, someone recommended to get a spring kit for your main spring, which is i believe is behind the ivg ( the thingy that the cocking rod screws into. I also have have a problem of random blowback and balls rolling out... not sure if i should get new detents or better bore sizing etc...

The IVG is the brass disk in the back of the lower tube. Usually it should be turned in two to three threads. Clean your HPR or if one has not been previously installed, buy one.

A good paint to bore match is a must.

----------
@Fr0sty
The detentes wont cause blowback.
Bad bore sizing wont and neither will the bolt. Not in any significant way anyway. As long as it has Orings you should be fine on that.
The bore only helps keep the ball in place and gets as much air behind it as posible to make a cleaner, more consistant shot.
Blowback is caused by a poorly timed reload cycle. Usually by too low of a dwell on e-cockers, or too close of a timing on mechs where the sear drops too late in the firing cycle.
If the bolt starts to move back before the shot has left the barrel the air behind it will exit through the feedneck instead of the barrel.

There has been discussion of putting an hpr on the trilogy. Some models of the Trilogy line are sprung for an hpr. For example the Competition. That one is red/black. Some models of the Trilogy line have gas through grips and therefore are not sprung for an hpr. Looking at the picture, it appears this one has a gas through grip. I could be wrong, however.

Spoiler Alert: Trilogies use Merlin Valves. I didn't find this out until after I purchased a Palmer valve. Otherwise I would have gone AKA.

Oh, and for upgrades, mine has: Trinity feedneck, Hyper2, TechT timing kit, AKA Bolt, Palmer valve, CP on/off, Palmer LPR, and macroline. I've got a project one and it'll be the same except Sidewinder and AKA valve.

Have the same model Trilly, had the same problem, put on an HPR, no more problems. The issue is that the input pressure from your tank is higher than the Trilly wants to cycle at, so you get a shorter mechanical dwell. Putting a reg on and dialing your input pressure down allows the valve to stay open longer, and gives you a higher fps

Your Trilogy is called a Sport. It is a basic version of the Trilogy line and is sprung for higher pressures, like c02.

Red&Black Fade - Competition model
Grey/Silver - Pro model
Dust Black/Camo - Tactical model

All of the ones listed above are sprung for lower pressure and usually have a reg attached. Also once a ball is pushed past a detent, they will tend to roll out, down the barrel. There are several mods to prevent this, but since your have a Freak, go with a smaller insert and this will prevent roll outs.

As far as Upgrades go get the following:

Spring Kit
Trilogy Low Pressure kit
CP Reg

I also suggest one of these when you want to sweet spot your reg:

Reg Pressure Tester

That is all I would recommend now, other then half-blocking, adding a slide trigger and a better pump kit, but those you can do down the road.

Also to note - the sport Trilogies have a smaller inlet on their valves than the higher end trilogies, or other WGP guns with 11/16 valves have. They need a higher pressure, because they will not flow as much vs larger ported valve at the same pressure.
