Friend has a SMP Ion with Tadao board, hybrid grips, black/blue body kit, clamping feedneck, upgraded trigger,freak barrel with 693 insert and two fronts. tool kits and manuals for everything. The weird thing is it has an old school asa fitting where the bottle of the tank unscrews from the regulator/on off asa thingy. Any ideas on what this setup is/ what it's worth?

That regulator/tank combo is called a Maxflow, it's an old SP thing.

Prices for ions are ridiculously low, so with everything included you're still only looking at $150-170 if you can find the right person.

can the maxflo bottle be fitted with a standard reg?

The max flo is a reg, iirc any bottle could be put on a max flo, i dont think the max flo had its own bottle from the factory. I could be wrong, but anyway i dont see why you cant take whatever bottle is on the max flo and put a normal reg on it. Threads should be the same.

I would part it out and sell the barrel, asa separately ...otherwise $100 imho... if you part it out you could be looking at 140

A normal person does not want that asa, but some weirdo will be willing to pay for it.

Ive noticed a few new members ask how much their gun is worth, find out a dissapointing number, and then Miraculously sell it for 3 -5 times the value.
If theyre so knowledgeable why even bother asking...
