As a back player I do not like this layout, but it will make teams and players change their tactics.

You could also put a guy at the X to stop snake movement and protect your snake. Just a thought, given that wide mini race.

looks like the first small aztec can shoot some pain past the inside of the first snake race so if they go wide on the dive they can shoot them out

Damien,

What's the distance of the temple closest to the snake? And, ever consider going with to a 10X10 grid?

seriously, i never understood why they've used this stupid 10x12.5 grid. just make it easier on us with 10x10.

will have to wait to play the layout. parts if it i love and some parts i don't think i like

The field was once 125' in width, but the off season would've been a good time to have gone to 10X10.

I actually started to work on a 10x10 grid but a decision from the PSP was to stay on the 10x12.5 grid, at least for now.

I did make sense. Remember the field was 125' wide a few years back, thus the 12.5' marks.
I think a lot of fields have either painted lines on their turf or a setup already in place with that grid. That could have been part of the decision.

It doesn't really matter... I don't know how you guys setup your bunkers but we simply pull tapes from the side lines, zero on snake side and place our bunkers that way... So if a bunker is a 72', 23' 3/4 or 40', it doesn't matter... just read the tape and place your prop.
You cannot solely use a grid to setup a layout. There always are offset bunkers... you need to pull tapes anyway... so the grid could be anything... Just my opinion though...

LOL... Am I that old?
PSP shrunk the field to 120' at the LA Open (Home Depot Center)... I think it was in 2007.

I know what you're gonna say... "6 years to not change that grid". That might happen next season.

When you're setting things up prior to every weekend and taking them down after to keep the grass growing, painted grid dots work well, and my 12" Timberlands work just fine for "normal" off sets, but 32 of 48 props? Ugh!

And the temple closest to the snake distance is....?

Oh and it is short 2 pillars. Intentional?

Yep we are just about finished staking in the new layout and we have two pillars left over as well...clarification on whether this is an oversight or intentional please.

the 2 Pillars left out is intentional.
Yes, they could have been used as "Home" bunker, but where is the fun with a home bunker.

I have 23' between the corner of that Temple to the Cake. (that's from 3Ds Max)

Is that what you were looking for?
