Players What do you think?

Working on the Gladiator 3-Man Event April 6th and we came up with a Great Idea to encourage Fair Play.
Center Flag Games
Live Player worth 20 points x3 = 60 Points possible
Elimination of oponent woth 5 points x3 = 15 Points possible
First Pull 5 Points 1 x5 = 5 Points Possible
Flag Hang 20 Points 1 x20 = 20 Points Possible
Total Possible score ( Max ) for a Game = 100 Points

Please Comment I want to hear your thoughts!

I too wonder what this point scheme will hope to achieve over a PSP-type race to scoring scheme (hang = 1 point).

The main way I see to enforce fair play is ensuring the caliber of teams is properly divided.

Honestly, I would run just a simple 3-man open class event with the basic scoring format. I think also having the event on the weekend of April 13th and 14th would be fantastic!

If your life on the field is worth more less stress on the reffs. You cheat boom 2-4-1 game over. It will also slow the game down alot to help out the new players. Most kids and adults who try airball are like wow just shot 500 rds in three minutes not fun. Now give them a chance to play longer better experience. Date is set due to avid and HB. Not for every Psp player but good for the new blood.

i understand the thought of getting new speedball players out there, but still doesn't stop cheating. there is cheating every where. Even at the college level when they play for nothing. Winning is everything, and losing sucks

While I will agree that cheating will never stop. A slower game where your life is the most important points makes it easier for reffs to catch them. I gaurentee you play on and lose a game you will think twice about doing it again. 2-4-1 for playing on end game in a penalty and gives the penalized team 0 and the other team even if all players were eliminated a max.

I see. I agree with Matte it does make the risk of cheating much higher. I like the idea- experienced open players will know better (or get away with cheating) and newer open players get a better experience.

But the ref must enforce it and call penalties fairly and consistently. additionally they must make sure they score the games correctly.
