Rebuilding my Pure Energy regulator.

Do I have to use urethane, because I ordered a rebuild kit from o-ring monkey and they sent me buna o-rings. The tank has urethane in them though, is this crucial to use urethane?

Also the one on the pin valve is made of teflon, and side by side comparison, the oring on the pin valve and the one they sent me is a different size, but the packaging says it's the right size. Is this crucial to get this specific oring to be the same size and thickness?

Sorry for the poor camera quality. But as you can see the thickness of the two orings is not up to par.

But they are the same size around

Will this affect anything?

Are you sure that o-ring is for the pin valve?...

On the diagram it reads "006 TEFLON “O” RING" and that's the size they gave me but in buna form.

I think it's supposed to go up into the bonnet. Let me pop apart my reg to check.

EDIT: Defintely no o-ring in the bonnet, but here's what I think, just leave the pin seal that's there on.

That pin valve seal is actually a washer, not an o-ring. Also, I believe it is made of polyurethane, not teflon. As for using buna instead of poly, probably not a good idea. The poly o-rings are MUCH more durable when there is so much air flow at high pressures. The buna probably won't last long.
