how to remove your g6r upper reg with pics

This probably voids the warranty or if you break you stuff not my fault!

The only reason to do this would be for anodizing or just to do it preform at your own risk.

1.

Unscrew lower section of reg.

2.

Remove reg section denote valve. (brass thing sticking out of top part of reg)

3.

Take needle nose pliers and loosen the valve, then unscrew it by hand to prevent damage.

4.

Insert two allen wrenches like so, I used 1/5th sized wrenches that are long for added torque which is needed. It takes a lot of force to loosen this at least with mine it did so be careful.

5.

Win.

I find that to be a little off, you void your warranty by removing the upper reg portion. what if that sucker decides to leak? you gotta be out of your gun for 3 weeks?

That's why BLAST glues them on so tight so they won't leak and so people won't remove them for ****s and grins just to see what's inside.

before you try to unscrew it, heat it up with a hair dryer, it helps sooooo much

Or hit it with a Torch back and forth until the Loctite is softened up enough. This will allow you to turn it out with ease using a small Rubber Strap Wrench or your hand if you can stand a little heat.

And yes, this is perfectly safe and will not damage a thing. This is precisely how BLAST Removes Feedneck Bases from Alias Bodies.

I egg shaped the inside of two of the ports doing this. I did get it off I did add some heat from a hair dryer, but I dont really think it is going to hurt the gun at all. Just a heads up for anyone else doing this. I also would like to say it isn't the guy's fault that posted this info!!!

Does getting aftermarket annodizing void the warranty? If so, it wouldn't matter to the OP anyway.
