I think I liked it better with the tape on.
Although the specs are impressive.

I'm personally excited about the OLED board on this thing. It detects when the gun needs to be lubed and the regulator pressure!? I've been waiting for a company to do a pressure read-out on a board ever since WDP put out the Angel Air system. I'm personally think the foregrip and cheap logo on the side of the gun aren't that great looking. I'm sure the plastic logo can be removed though and it appears the gun would still look decent without it. I like the looks of the JT Impulse A lot more, but I still need to shoot them both to decide.

Having all the screws the same size is probably one of the best things I've seen on any paintball gun so far.

If it was closer to $1000 I might consider it.
I'm still glad to own my Axe.

What will happen to the Axe Men? Looks like they could be Vanquished by their own Sponsor.

Agree completely. The Vanquish doesn't have the visual appeal I'd be looking for in a $1500 marker

Great idea. Simon said it best... "I can't believe no one has done this before"

I agree 1000% with this. Pricing the Vanquish at the same price point of the Luxe is a mistake IMO. It will not draw the customer base away from the likes of DLX and PE. Empire fans will try the gun...and sadly that's about it.
They won with the Axe because it offered great performance at a price point the others couldn't touch.
If they have kept the same game plan with the Vanquish and came in at $1000-1100, the gun would be a huge winner and would get tons of people to try it, just because it's new and a great price - just like the Axe.
Only time will tell the success, but initially, this looks like a swing and miss on the part of Empire I'm sad to say.
I wish they had done a bit more market research on it... their fans would have told them...

I was too with Empire track record of bang-for-your-buck. This is clearly Kee trying to branch into EVERY spectrum of the paintball industry, and I like it.

If it was 1000$, I'd definitely consider it. 1500$ is way too much for me. But hey, all of the big companies are trying to out price each other because there are people who will buy it.

Eh, 1500 is a little much. But some people will pay it, and that's worth it for Empire. Besides, most people will end up purchasing them used for 1200-1300ish, which isn't that far off from a Luxe.
EDIT: I thought my first post didn't go through. Whoops.

Since Empire hasn't made any claims about the efficiency I would guess that it's similar to a Luxe (bad). If it was any better I would expect they would mention it as a selling point over the Luxe.
